knifeworks805 knife finally returned ( para 2 red digi camo ) very unhappy

What an abomination!If it were me this happened to,the only thing that would make it right is if he were to buy me a brand new knife & ship it (with the box) to me, & I would ship back that friggin' abortion to him!

I've read around that he does good work,but guess that doesn't apply to people who complain about him on the internet.:thumbdn:

he used to about 5 months ago then he stopped caring, on his youtube channel he showed great stuff but in reality he is an awful businessman and not the professional knife pimper he claims to be.

Unfortunately there are several examples of that going around recently.

Regarding a Paypal claim and the time limit on such: do they have some special consideration for a circumstance like this? You didn't get the service/item you paid for until after that period of 45 days expired and it's only once you have it in hand that you can see it's unsatisfactory. If you knew sooner you've have complained sooner, but you didn't so you couldn't.

i hope if i need to paypal will rule in my favor if i make a complaint with them.
 
Typically a Paypal claim window is 45 days. If the purchase was made with a credit card, there might be some wiggle room, but I really doubt it. Rapdog, if you are going to open a dispute, you should have done it early on. You're probably well past the timeframe, and will likely be ask why you waited for so long to file a dispute. I'm sure others are wondering why too. If you are going to do it, then move forward otherwise it would be best to just move on and let it go.
 
So... Why is this guy not banned yet? He takes forever with people's knives. He takes orders when hes complaining that hes too busy with real life issues. He does not communicate with customers once he has their knife in his hands, and when he sends it back 4 months later it looks like a pile of garbage. Ban him already for crying out loud! I'm sure there are a ton of people that would agree that a person like him should not be allowed in this amazing forum. Ban him!!!

i would have filed earlier but i didn't not have the knife to see the poor quality of the work nor did i suspect that it would be months before i would get my knife back i stupidly believed him that he was just busy and was taking care of his newborn. which i admit was my mistake but i figured someone who had a good reputation on the forums and YouTube could be trusted.. if i had filed a complaint earlier i would have gotten my money back but i doubt Ryan would have ever sent the knife back to me so i chose to at least try to get the 110$ knife back before i filed a complaint for the 40$. i would have been willing to let it go if the quality had been good but its not and now i just payed 40$ and waited 4 months to get back my knife looks worse then when i sent it. im not the first or the last person to have problems with Ryan and his work, as long as he continues to use the forums and youtube to attract customers people will continue to be screwed.

You might want to check with your credit card issuer, sometimes they are more linent about issuing a charge back. It still seems late, but check anyway.
 
Hard to file for a dispute if it was a "gift". Learned my lesson with Ryan. Relieved he actually returned my knife after 3 and a half months with no work done on it. Good luck rapdog.

Someone needs to blow up that wall so people know what they're getting into (looks like he's taking new work), I don't have facebook so can't post but people should be warned. Any way to report him on there? I know he's erased all negative comment posted there too. This guy should just be banned already.

i would but i to dont have a face book so i cant, i hope someone else does though. ill see if i can report him on there i doubt it though.
 
well i just sent our good friend Ryan a fantastically leveraging email after he told me he couldn't send me a refund yet hopefully this levels him and gets me my money back.

update: ive really pretty much given up on the refund hes just insulting me now.

i asked him for a refund one Monday, he replied why id be be happy to refund you just give me a little bit of time to get the money ( 40$ ). i asked him when he would have it he replied that he would send it to me Tuesday or Wednesday morning. i have emailed him 2 more times after that he keeps on saying the same think, " im waiting for funds". here is his most recent email to me

which is a little confusing seeing as one my age has nothing to do with legalities of a paypal transfer, and two i have no problem admitting im a minor but im not some 12 year old kid who just plays with knives. i have a great understanding about knives but thats not the point. he personally attacked me after literally i told him i was not trying to offend or threaten him. and the address thing also didn't make much sense because i have no idea what that would have done for him seeing as he already has it. your right about that last sentence ill go change it because im not doing this out of spite.
 
I don't understand how you could charge someone for this. He should refund the money and purchase a new knife for you.
 
I've seen some of this persons work. They had a few firearms in my buddys shop in Ventura. I wasn't impressed. Any referrals they got from the shop have petered out, we weren't hearing much good.

I'm sorry you got jakked like this, it can leave a bitter taste. Kudos to those stepping up to help. :thumbup:

Definitely look for the charge-back....
