knifeworks805 knife finally returned ( para 2 red digi camo ) very unhappy

LOL, I sent Ryan my favorite knife (Military) about 3 weeks ago. He posted a Youtube video with my finished knife in it a few days after he received it from me. Now I've emailed him twice asking for updates but I have gotten zero response... He could have easily had it back to me within his "one and a half week turnaround time".

*Of course if I had read these threads I wouldn't have sent him my knife.*

You'd think people would learn a simple lesson based on threads like these. That is just too much to hope for I guess.

If would have saved you the trouble all these other people went through. You could have easily avoided the whole mess. Incredible..

indeed best to research who your doing business with before you do business with them. could potentially save you hundreds.

I'm curious as to how Ryan offers a one week turnaround time when in his own words on the other thread he states that the process takes a full 4 weeks to cure? Why would you ship something out that isn't fully cured yet? You have a chance of destroying your own work, especially if you ship the knife back out in a flimsy envelope.

I'm not sure why there are chips in the duracoat, i've never sent anything off that looked like that.... something could have happened during shipment considering that I finished this and shipped it off in the same day. The finish takes 4 weeks to fully cure. Did the other knife make it ok?

Hey rapdog how come you haven't posted some negative feedback on his profile? As a newish active (not lurking) member I would find that much quicker than I would find this thread.

i did business with him through his YouTube channel after i saw some of his work, so i cant because it wasnt through bladeforums otherwise i would have.

If it makes you feel better I'm planning to get into knife customization soon such as duracoat, rock wash, sand blast, anodize maybe more and could fix the knife for you.

Try getting some mineral spirits and removing the paint job if you don't like it enough to get rid of it.

Your screen name was well chosen.

There are many circumstances under which iTrader profile feedback is unavailable. That's when we revert to the old system -- right here in good old FEEDBACK / The Good, The Bad, The Ugly!

I always look at user feedback before I do any business, how does he not have any negative feedback???? Isn't the purpose of the feedback to give you a quicker way to check up on a members habits?

I have met someone who had a lot of work done by Ryan and he said he got it because "It was so cheap to get done, the work isnt top notch but its ok on a beater. I just wish he would use an over to cure it rather than just let it dry on its own." Then I informed him of all the drama that was going on, he really had no idea at all so I told him to pass along the word.
