Since I stopped crawling around of floors as much as I used to, I upgraded to Red Wings a few years back. Hard to find boots that actually fit well because my feet are shaped like bricks. Also the fact that I managed to grow a big bone spur on one of my big toe joints. Getting older has some drawbacks.

When I was hunting a lot, I always stayed away from Danners. I knew they were good boots, but look so stiff, uncomfortable and cumbersome I wore a different brand.
Those look very solid.

I agree. I know they are well made. I thought Danners were geared for mountain use, not flatland use as is the case with Midwest USA upland bird huntung. They look like the ankle support is very robust.
Are the new ones of the same quality?

I have the same Danners had them for 30 years. I paid 85.00 bucks for them. They are now 450.00. Dang good boots and very comfy.
