Knives And Dogs!

I don’t know why but he just loves to sleep with his head under something. Even if it’s just clear glass. Most of the time if he’s in a bedroom he’ll have just his head under the bed. 😁
We’ve noticed this in a lot of our rescues who lived outside. We had one who would always take “shelter” under the kitchen bar. Sweet boy, just never got used to being allowed inside.

We’ve got a new knife for today’s walk, I’ve always wanted a midtech AD15. The stars finally aligned for me.

That might explain Odin’s habit. He was effectively abandoned and left to fend for himself in his backyard by his prior owners until he was around eight months old when I got him. He didn’t even know his own name and never been outside of that walled in yard for a walk. The only time they interacted with him was on occasion when they go out to fill a big bin with dog food or water. I don’t understand some people.

Anyway, as usual here he is with me… 😁image.jpg

Some humans should not be allowed to have pets. Reads like Odin's previous humans fall into that group. Glad you have him now.

Glad Odin wound up with you man. Dogs are better than many people deserve.

God has blessed us with dogs. And in Our case Double Blessed Us with Love for them.

I feel kinship with dogs and dog lovers, and believe we are most fortunate to have comradeship with each other! On a knife forum no less!!

I've only had rescue and rescue situation type dogs. They all have their quarks, but once a loving bond is formed, it last a lifetime.

If stealing a cookie is his worst offense, he's still a very good boy!

My gone but not forgotten, boy Mameluke and his sister once ate two sticks of real butter off the counter. Can you say buttery poop lol!

luethge luethge , I am in league with your pup. I try to get my mountain cur to pick something off the shelves at the Petco or Tractor Supply. A toy or treat she likes. She will investigate but not take anything, but is way too interested in the guinea pigs.

Guinea pigs are definitely considered a delicacy in some places 😂. My pup is drawn to skunks and opossums like his life depends upon them..

The guy, now considered a brother, that took me one my first pheasant hunt had a wonderful German Shorthair Pointer. She was awesome, with one fault. She would break off a pheasant for a coon or skunk.

You re a good man.

You re a good man.
I appreciate that but I’m not near as a good a man, as he is a good dog.

He got a lousy break early in life, but the good news is I plan on making that up to him as much as possible and he’s thriving now. He goes everywhere I go. Get’s a cut of everything I eat as long as it’s safe for him to do so. My wife and kids say I spoil him but I don’t see it that way. I’m just trying to even things up for what he didn’t get earlier.

Thank you though, it’s very nice of you to say.
