Thinking about taking this combo to a corn maze at night 😁 Maybe a bit too much? That hound dogs puts out a hotspot that will be hard to stare at in the maze lol. It will be fun though...

The last time I went to a corn maze I was shining my light around and the workers that were running around scaring people asked me not to shine on them. 😁

I think I had a preon 2 then, it was not even super bright.

It's true, by today's standards, the Malkoff in terms of output, it's not even that bright.

I remember I had one of the brightest flashlights and it was a maglite 2xAA incan lol.

I haven't seen one of those Gerbers in years.
I can't even find a picture of it in a search. Think Gerber only sold them for a brief period before changing the design.
I carried this one during my military career and used it about as much as any other tool I carried. Was very VERY handy.
I still use it around the house when a high powered light isn't required.

I don't remember anyone actually having one, just saw them with other Gerber stuff a few times.

Gorgeous bone on that teardrop. I've come back to looked at it several times. Just plain GORGEOUS !!!

Thanks. Case did a wonderful job on the bone on some of the Tear Drops.

The company was CMG. I've three of them which all must be 20-ish years old. I still use them quite a bit and they occasionally end up on my house keys.

I can't remember exactly when I purchased the Gerber but it was at least 25 and more like 30yrs ago to the best of my recollection. I love how simple and rugged it is. The Gerber stamp (not into the metal) that once was on the barrel, was worn off long ago and is barely visible now when the lighting is just right.
