Playing with roast beef...

Staying at a small family beach cabin for the 4th I cooked up some ribs for dinner. Silverware was very limited and right before dinner my Brother said "We do not have enough knives for everyone, someone will have to share." If looks could kill he would have been dead. Amazing how my own brother seemed to forget how I make a living. The ribs were so tender they did not need a knife, but you know damn straight I cut each one with my ZT0220 and ate each bite while giving my brother the 1000 yard death stare! Still love him though.

Wait, you needed knives for ribs? Something is terribly wrong here.

Gotta read my entire statement:

"The ribs were so tender they did not need a knife, but you know damn straight I cut each one with my ZT0220 and ate each bite while giving my brother the 1000 yard death stare!"

I love the story, but the need for him to even mention a knife with ribs is too much for me :)

The only thing my brother knows about cooking or food is how to order take out! I think it would be a safe bet that he has eaten ribs 2-3 times in his entire life. Of course this is also the guy who will only eat corn if it is cut off the cobb:D

Mom.. sausage.

Very enticing. The food I mean. Got some chefs here. What a surprise.

My fav thread.

Well, what did you let them borrow?

... So, what does a knife store owner keep on his person to dole out on such an occasion? Trenchcoat with 40 quality blades per side?

It doesn't do any good to shoot eye bullets at your brother if you have a grand total of one ZT in your pocket.

You may be the biggest "knife guy" in the world, but if more than a few people need a knife...?

(Not trying to be an ass, BTW. I'm genuinely curious. Now, if y'all were eating at your store, that'd be a whole different story!)

At home, I use kitchen knives, as I have quite a few very nice chef knives and others. When going out, I have no problem using whatever knife is in my pocket. Though recently I have been carrying a slipjoint for food and a modern for other tasks.

Yup. And wearing nothing but a speedo underneath that coat.

I've been too sick (liver disease and stress) to do much cooking lately, plus with the divorce and packing to move in to a new place on my own again, its just too much. I used to grill out and make stir fry often.
