Well as an owner of several SOCOM 16's.... I can say that when I fire them at the hog's here in Texas, they don't seem to be bothered. They don't complain and they don't run away! It's loud.
It's heavy.
It's politically incorrect.
Everyone will HATE you at the range.
Everyone within a mile of you will HATE you.
At night, you and everyone within 100 yards will be blind.
It'll start forest fires.
It'll burn your target, even if you miss.
It has all the subtlety of dropping a piano out of a 10th floor window.
Allow me to recommend a suppressed 5.56 or .300 BO...

About an hour away, Neighbor! I'm in KendaliaI imagine they don't.
I'm in Texas myself. (*South Texas...San Antone area) I will say that a SOCOM, kitted with an Aimpoint PRO, is (*for me) just about the PERFECT truck gun for this area.
What part of Tejas are you in, if you don't mind my asking?
Pictures like this, do not help me fight the urge to go to local gun shop. Great mix old and new schools. Wish I would have bought a 301 when they were "reasonably" priced.
