You mean the G47? It’s a MOS G17 with 1/2” shorter dust cover is basically it. Uses the same recoil spring assembly as the gen 5 G19. If you have a G47 and G19, you have basically 4 different Glock models.
Yes my bad that’s it…I was wondering what the hype was about.

Yeah but who wants four Glocks?

How exactly do you carry that in Illinois?!?
With a very large holster. I meant the Cheburkov was my carry for CF foreign front flipper Friday. Today I'm going with the Biryukov for Soviet Saturday.

Going to the range today. Taking two guns I've never shot, the AK and my grandfather's Montgomery Ward Westernfield 550a 12 gauge.

My sister and her husband are meeting me there, with two guns they've never shot, a diamondback AR and a Kimber micro 9.

I'm bringing my Canik and Steyr as well.

Sounds like a good day 👍🏼 And I still want to shoot a Steyr !
Hey..you can never have enough pow-pows, including Glocks 😁

I have 5 different Glocks and I love them all. Each serve a purpose. Same could be said for Russian AKs as well.

Very nice ! How do you like the Strike Compensators ? Do you have to actually have their barrel to attach it ?
The SI comps work very well. It is very noticeable especially on the 19, but the 17 shoots perfectly flat for me too. The comps attach to the RSA... a very interesting system that doesn't require a threaded barrel at all. SI Mass Driver.

Thank you for the info, I see now you got the one with the two ports, originally I though I'm looking at the one that's attaches to the barrel...
Good deal, good feedback. I have an old gen 3 22 that I'm fiddling with and thinking about one of their slides and compensators.

It was a joke, but for sure. I almost bought a Ruger LC carbine yesterday as well, but with the car repair coming up, I was afraid to swing that much cash. Plus, I am completely out of space now in my safe. Selling my Remington 887 will help with that. Sigmund should be back in my possession soon. I still want a lever action and at least one more semi-auto pistol and one more revolver.

It will be a while though. I want a Dan Wesson 715 pistol pack and some flavor of 1911 in .45acp. Lever action I'm thinking .45-70 just for the hell of it. Go big or go home

Four hundred Glocks would be better, hahah. Steyr pistols are very cool.

I have a Gen3 RTF G22 with the fishgills and also the Gen3 G22C, factory comp'd. The factory comp'd barrel and slide make a difference but not like the Mass Driver where it is completely flattened out and you see your sights all the time. Not sure SI makes a .40 version though. They are basically range toys since they make your gun as long as a 17L but really fun. It isn't like a Glock flips like a PPQ or clone to begin with, but it is surprising how well the Mass Driver works... it also MOVES. It moves away from the barrel and back as the gun fires. It has a lot of engineering for $100 or whatever and comes with its own RSA securing it to the slide very well. Makes it harder to remove the barrel but it can be done.

Yes, I understand, and thank you for the information ! I'm very familiar with Glocks, especially gen3. I do have old, very well done Lone Wolf 40-9 threaded barrel for my G22 and another .357sig barrel so I can shoot 3 calibers.
Very versatile platform, love it even I'm mostly Sig 226 fan... I did came across a complete Austrian slide from 1983 I believe that I mated to another gen3 G22 frame and works like a charm. Had my two Glocks for over 10years now.
I'm thinking to slap a VortexViper that I have laying around on either the G22 slide, after I cut it, or just to buy one of the SI slides along with the RSA attached comp and see how it'll go... Lego guns...

I have the ported 40-9 and regular length .357 Sig barrel :) I swap around frames and barrels a lot or purchase MOS slides for frames a lot, etc... The Brownells "G34" RMR slide in the pic is on a G22 RTF frame. My last Glock project was adding a G41 MOS slide to a G41 that also has a G40 MOS slide and G20 slide.

Sounds like a great day.

It was a fun day, although my sister didn't come, just my brother-in-law. The AK was fun, but I don't care for the metal stock. It's too low for a proper cheek weld and very unforgiving recoil wise. I put 80 rounds through it, and had no problem hitting the bullseye at 50 yards with a slight sight adjustment. I was very surprised by the accuracy and ease of shooting. Probably even more accurate if I shot from a rest and not standing. Definitely something I could hunt with.

The recoil pad is so old and worn out on my grandfather's shotgun it makes recoil worse, like not having it tight to your shoulder. I only put 3 round through it, but it was cool and I love it. Going to order a new pad for it. Only shot #00 buck, it was all I had.

My brother-in-law his new AR is surprisingly nice, especially for the price. I like the grip better than mine, it softer and has finger grooves. Trigger is not quite as nice and no ambi controls.

The Kimber Micro 9 was ok. Not something either of us would choose to buy or carry. Only 7 round magazine. I'd rather carry a .357 magnum revolver if I was going to carry that few of rounds. However, his Uncle won it in a contest, and gave it to them free, so they are not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Both Steyr's shot brilliantly as usual. I have an early A1, he has an A2 MF he's only shot once. Even with the standard trap sights 25 yards was not a challenge, and even at 50 I was hitting in the 8 and 9 ring. I absolutely love that gun.

Shot my Canik Tp9 SFX as well. Despite red loctite and having installed only two months ago, one of the red dot screws for my holosun flew out never to be seen again. So now I gotta order some.

The Wilson Combat grip modules make a big difference. I put the XL on my P365 SAS and love them. Speaking of which, I heard from my attorney today, and I'll be getting it shipped back to me from the national park service this week. FINALLY! Long story, but they have had it since August.

However, being 6'4" 250 and it being 28° carrying the Steyr is no problem. If I could get find an S9-A1 (the subcompact) I'd probably get it for carry and reserve the Sig for pocket carry.
