Octopussy vs Ant-man. New recoil pad on AK is a little wonky looking, but the extra length really helps imo. Recoil wasn't an issue, I did it more for the length.

New Geissele lightning bow trigger will be installed on the Tavor SAR tonight.

Edit: Trigger is a bit beyond my ability. Going to have a gunsmith install it.

The 327 mag is going to be between 38 special and 357 magnum in terms of energy. 100gr bullets at around 1400-1450 fps. The real benefit of the 327 mag is that you can also use 32 H&R Mag, 32 S&W Long, 32 S&W Short and 32 ACP in the revolver, which makes for a very versatile handgun. It is a very easy caliber to load for, from light plinking loads up to full magnums. Easy to practice with, and very accurate. Can hunt small game with the lighter rounds, and larger game as you continue up the power scale. Another benefit is the smaller diameter allows for 6 rounds instead of 5 in a Smith and Wesson J-Frame revolver. I wish they would make some more of them.

Ammo can sometimes be hard to find if you are looking for something specific, but 32 S&W long is normally readily available and is a great practice round.
Thanks for the great info 👍🏼

K.O.D. K.O.D. and @Ellis Wyatt hit a lot of the important points. I'll add that I've been using .327 Federal for years. It was a great idea and honestly, it's still the cutting edge of revolver technology. Unfortunately, it was released too late in the popular life of the revolver, at a bad time economically, and with too few guns to support it. The initial marketing was limited too. It took a few years for a lever gun to be released and that was also a little too late. I feel like a new round has to either gain institutional acceptance (that ship has sailed on revolver rounds) or have a variety of guns available upon release. Some of these issues also plague the recent .30 Super Carry.

While I do enjoy shooting .327 Federal from longer barrels or my Henry, the main benefit to me has been use in the LCR. It is my favorite carry gun and part of that is the more curved shape versus small semi-autos. It just rides beautifully in a pocket holster and that makes it both the easiest and most versatile carry option for me. I had previously carried one in .38 +p but five rounds of that always felt a little behind the times. While going up to .357 magnum offered more power, it was still only five shots and the recoil is rough. It may be more sentimental than anything else but the .327 upgrade to a six-shooter feels significant and it does open up a huge spectrum via both its own loadings and all the other cartridges it can take.

While the warmer 100 grain loads approach .357 levels of recoil in the LCR, the 85-grain "low recoil" Hydra-Shoks are just about perfect. Felt recoil is literally indistinguishable from most .38 +p and I find it easy to control during drills. Sure, it is noticeably louder but so is .357 magnum and almost any round fired without hearing protection is going to hurt. At the end of the day, they let me carry six pills that comfortably deliver an 85-grain hollow-point with reliable expansion at ~1200fps from a pocket gun. ❤️
Thanks everyone for the great info 👍🏼
