Is that milled for the red dot or their RDO system? I'd love to get my PX4 milled, but I may have to go with a plate.
I use the Langdon slide, they do a bit more work than even the Beretta slide to get it as low as possible, but its still not that low. Cost aside the Langdon set up is the way to go.

It's a plate with rear sight built in, fixed to the dove tail. You cannot mill anything right there.
Google ---> " VORTEX VIPER / VENOM RED DOT SIGHT MOUNT FOR BERETTA 92 (FITS BURRIS FASTFIRE AND DOCTER) "

Actually the Langdon RDO is milled some into the slide. They modify the firing pin safety to allow the milling lower than Beretta. The rear sight is attached to the plate they use, but that plate is flush in the slide cut, not the rear dovetail.

H hkssr20det I see, thank you for clearing it, it is interesting solution and I learned something new. looking at Berretta 92 ( I had one but gave it to a friend of mine), currently own only Cheetah.
I wouldn't say that it is something one can do for itself. I can mill and tap a Glock slide for particular RD but wouldn't touch the Berretta's top tight there 😂
Is this a proprietary plate they make and install, or it is something you can buy and then have them mill the slide ?
I'm just curious how much lower the whole RD setup seats and what is the advantage if it's matter of couple of mm ? Not questioning your choice of course,
just curious. The dovetail plates are much less hustle to install IMO but on some guns they are really flimsy...

The plate is a proprietary plate for the Langdon slide, but they make them in a few flavors for different optics. They do some milling, but certain slide (like the original 92FS) don't' work.

I chose the Langdon because it was the only option at the time, but I have been able to use the newer Beretta cuts and I still find the Langdon the best option due to the lower height. Even a few mm will help or hinder your acquisition of the dot from a draw. I shoot both irons and dots so I want my draw stroke to be as similar as possible between the two, so the dovetail mounts are too high for my feel.

Very interesting and thank you for the info, the one I gave away was, I believe just the regular, non M version, I believe double stack.
Never thought they'll mill such an area on this gun but hey, if they can - more power to them, especially if it works for you, it's all that counts...

I've been considering getting the slide on my PX4 milled by them, as well as having night sights installed. My PX4 has the LTT drop in trigger group, performance trigger bar and its a lot better than factory.
