Such a massive amount of interesting hardware in those last couple of pages... 😍

crufflers crufflers ---> Can I please have some info about the rifle ? You can hit me on the DM if it's more convenient, I'm very curious about it, looks so clean and functional,
but gas system is mistery to me, seems too long to be a piston, but of course I can be mistaking... 😂
DI rather than piston :) Fightlite SCR Monte Carlo lower with rat-tail carrier, standard AR bolt (bolt comes from donor BCG / spare BCG, where you replace the MIL-Spec carrier with the rat tail hinged carrier which goes down into the stock which contains the buffer spring at an angle like some other similar gas guns similar to FAL's). Standard 556 AR upper is a Noveske 16" Recon stainless barrel, DD 15" MLOK tube, DD fixed sights, Trij MRO with Scalar Works 1/3 mount. Streamlight RM-2 white light with pressure plate at 12 o'clock, VG6 Gamma comp. I have a couple of these SCR setups... my other one is a ARES SCR gen2 from before they changed the company name to FIGHTLITE but after the gen1's with really heavy triggers. You can move any standard upper onto these lowers with their carrier... my other one is setup as a 20" barrel flat top with a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40, etc... if you find standard stocks nice and natural, they are as comfortable as they look. Many people prefer to use them with side chargers, but I always used regular uppers... the only side charger I own is a .22 Mag AR. I believe people have run these with piston uppers like the BRN-180 where the carrier and buffer is not needed.

If you want to see some insane gorgeous builds of similar designs, check out Jesse James. He does similar (licensed) rifle configuration called a NOMAD CALIFAS.

No shame there my friend…I just wondered how you carried it if you did bc of the weight etc. I have full sized guns that are hard to carry that make great car/truck/house options just like you said. I know a couple guys who carry 1911s but they open carry and that’s just not my thing…no issue with their choice just not my style.

I know you weren’t asking me, but this is how I carry my Commanders. The Holster store St Cloud FLA. Or in a shoulder holster View attachment 2233373

Gosh, crufflers crufflers , I'm impressed... 🤩 I absolutely love the looks of it but the system was mystery and now I'll have to read your post few times in order to absorb everything... 🤣
Well, I learned something new and very interesting, at least to me... Thank you very much for sharing !

Edit: JJF are really gorgeous ! Is this THE Jesse James ? He used to come to Sarasota, I met him few times in a local bikers place and in a shop of friend of mine, who used to build bikes for bunch of celebrities.

And with all the 5#!t going on around, I'm back in my humbled comfort zone, fiddling with a wrong size flat trigger for my project, but it is "Guns and knives" so
I just had to open my old chisel grind cqc7...:thumbsup:

VERY NICE. Yes, the JJFU brand is the same Jesse James. He does amazing 1911's and AR rifles. SPEC receivers (NOMAD) and the SCR's (NOMAD CALIFAS).

The SCR lowers have kind of done the Great Eastern Cutlery thing and exploded in popularity... because they used to be readily available from GRABAGUN and other discount resellers for about $430... prices now are kind of blown up.

Sir, say what you want but I’m not firing a lot of ammo out of that Kickin Mule 😳😱
I just got it yesterday morning. Went out in the backyard and fired 5 rounds of 158 grain full house loads. I kinda knew what to expect as I have this other one I have shot several times. It's just a little heavier. 11.7 ounces versus 14.9 ounces. They are not all that bad.View attachment 2233646

Thanks

This is probably a stupid question, but why does the AirLite have a warning about no ammo less than 120 grains? I feel like I should know. Thanks.

I looked at the owners manual on the s & w website it said something about the lesser grain bullets could erode the end of the titanium cylinder. I don't quite understand.

All other things being equal, a lighter bullet will likely result in more powder being burnt outside of the cylinder than a heavier bullet due to the lighter bullet exiting the cartridge faster than the heavier one. Since titanium is relatively soft and reactive compared to other metals used in cylinders, it is more likely to have "flame cutting" issues due to the high temperatures of the powder igniting outside of the cylinder chambers. It is my understanding that S&W uses a protective coating on their titanium cylinders to protect them from reacting with the powder, but this coating can wear with shooting and from cleaning with certain abrasives. I believe the S&W manuals also call out some abrasive cleaners to avoid on the titanium cylinders for this reason.

Note that most modern S&W revolvers also have a "flame shield" on the top strap to protect the thin area of the frame from flame cutting as well.

Very interesting and I'm glad you opened this door for me, I've seen few of those rifles before, but being much more familiar with cqb models,
I just dismissed those as curio pieces, even they look very nice and attractive... Now I'll have another thing to research and waste hours on the computer. The actual purchase prices are not bad IMO...

My glocks are old and nothing special, all gen3 frames, I'm just fiddling with the great Lego factor Glocks have... I couldn't fit my Vortex Viper (also nothing special) on one of them without cutting the slide, attaching it to the rear sight dovetail didn't work very well, I wasn't happy.
My new project is also little bit off because I'm using standard G22 gen3 aftermarket slide (very well done BTW) with RMR cut. So the Viper wont fit and it's actually very hard to find adapter plate to my likings.
Fortunately, Viridian makes a nice Green Dot sight, fits perfectly the RMR pattern, have very large window, and my astigmatism have no problem seeing actual dot and not star as with the red dot... 😍
Im waiting form the Agency comp, should have high TruGlo Pro sights that I find very fast on my other guns, to cowitness the dot, zero on 25yards, front sign mounted on the comp.
The issue is for now the conversion 40-9 barrel will have the same thread as the Comp but not the non-threaded opening for the 40 barrel. Not a problem at all because I have ability to open it in a machine shop, so I'll be fine.
I got new oem internals for the slide, and a new flat trigger, but the birdhead of the bar is too wide and doesn't fit my Rocket Ghost connector... Also fixable, not a big deal, it needs little bit of trimming and polishing, done it before.
I do have tungsten recoil spring rod with 15lb spring, kind of debating putting one of the Sprinko RSs but will see, I'm trying to keep it simple...
Sorry for the mailbox, I'll clean it up, please send me whatever info you wanted to, it's very interesting subject for me I'll be happy to learn something new.
Sorry got the long post...

Thank you for the information on the Viridian. I see a star as well with Burris and Holosun sights due to eye issues.
Sounds like you are putting together a nice setup.
Thanks

Working on Glocks is very rewarding. I love the gen3 RTF's! Personally I had bad luck with Ghost connectors. I prefer the ZEV V4 Race or even alternatives like the Lantacs. I really want to try the Timney. Sometimes testing with Ghosts I would get a striker release on the reset or before the reset which is definitely no bueno. I always dry fire test the trigger connectors a ton even before range tests including a lot of modulating trigger pressure on release/reset to make sure the connector doesn't let the striker slip before the trigger pull. Some do. I found ZEV and Glock minus are the most reliable on my guns... though the Glock connectors have the worst trigger pull weights and trigger feel... they "err" on the side of total reliability. I heard Timney's Glock stuff is amazing.

FIGHTLITE even has a new lower that is a LEVER ACTION for AR uppers. They do some innovative stuff in addition to military contract stuff and belt fed designs. Fightlite even has a J-frame grip that holds four backup rounds for a 80% reload.

The lever action lower is pretty neat, I know Bond Arms came out with one as well. It would make for a sweet suppressor host. Lever action SBR in 300 blackout with a can is something I’ve been thinking about doing.

That lever action may let me keep my AR if the Illinois weapons ban isn't overturned. I ain't registering my guns.

7.62 it is…like the AR type setup but still like my originals too.

I haven't really bought any gun stuff in quite a while except some Glock projects for guns I already have... but do have a lot more standard AR's than the unique stuff like SCR's... a few regular old AR-10's and a couple M1A's, and .308 bolt guns... I love .308. I haven't gotten into .300 too much but I do have some uppers and a bit of the 110 grain V-max loads. Nothing fancy - a PSA 300 Dissy and some other cheap carbine upper I picked up a long time ago... one has the old Nikon 2-7 .300 AAC scope on it which is pretty good.
