Took the Tavor all the way down, going to do a serious cleaning. The fatal flaw of this gun is the disassembly and reassembly. Not only is it complicated (need a Philips, a hex, and proprietary barrel wrench) but the charging handle rod is extremely susceptible to getting bent. I believe this is one of the issues addressed with the X95. I managed to bend it despite painstaking care, and am trying to straighten it.

There are things I like and dislike about both the SAR and the X95. I ultimately bought the SAR because of the deal I got on it.

I like the mag release and bolt release on the SAR better, but the charging handle on the X95 and handguard are better.

It's got probably 1000 rounds through it now, probably a bit more. Between all the mods I've done and that I can't buy an X95 in my state currently (or any semi auto rifle) it makes little sense to sell it.

Here is a set I carry in my sweet 1980's (era) EDC fanny pack (easy to throw on and great placement for drawing if needed), that I typically carry in the summer. S&W 9 Shield Plus (Night sights & OR) is excellent for carry so far and has comfortable slim profile, similar to my familiar Glock 43X. I really love the GM Ace Grand as well. They seem to make fantastic knives; fit, function, movement and total package! Also in my pack I carry a spare mag, Leatherman Charge TTI, chapstick, etc.20240105_094316.jpg20240105_094341.jpg20240105_094400.jpg20240105_095019.jpg
