I've got some gun stuff incoming. Some 5.56 range ammo, a charging handle rod for the Tavor SAR, and a folding and telescoping stock for the AK. While I like the look of the wood stock, the LOP is slightly uncomfortable with my monkey arms, and the recoil pad I have to mitigate it constantly falls of. I don't need the pad for the recoil. I may down the road go full polymer furniture and mount a red dot. The stock is coming straight from Zastava so I'm know it will fit.

For the Tavor, I've decided to go back to the standard charging handle. The folding is nice, buy the rod is so easily bent.

My Tavor charging handle rod will be here Saturday, perhaps sooner. Can't wait to get it installed. I'm more excited for the stock for the AK, I'll finally have a comfortable and reliable length of pull. The folding and telescoping will be nice.

Ammo will be here today.

Just for the hell of it, Sunday when I was wrenching on the Tavor I decided to check the screws on the port cover/seal (it can be right or left eject) and all of them were a bit loose. I put some blue locktite on the screws and reinstalled. Hopefully this will help with the smell, as well as better ammo. I'm pretty much through the old, dirty American eagle crap I bought on GunBroker, which I suspect contributed to the issue of eye stinging and making me sneeze.

In the meantime, I have my POS Astra Cub .22 short finally in working condition, as well as my early 1900's Gamble model 24 .22lr bolt action gun. If my ankle holds out I'll try to shoot them. Both were my grandfather's, the rifle my great-grandfather's.

Here's the Cub with my Seamus Nor'Easter. The box is faded, but the price tag is still on it, and it appears my grandfather paid $17.78 for it. No idea what year.

Very nice short setup! If you don't mind me asking - is the BCM upper 9" 300 BLK ?
Love those Shamans! It slowly replaces my Manix XL out of my pocket. I got it in REX45 and it's being nothing but solid performer !
Correcto , threw on a 9" bcm I had around.
The factory q upper setup had a set screw fly out of the gas block while hunting, likely my fault, but might keep it this way, shoots great and I like the balance off hand

Thank you! They are great company for AR. One last thing, completely out of curiosity because 300 BLK is new to me:
H2 buffer for the short barrel and this "slow" grain and not using flow through, but rather classic suppressor ?

My Sig 226TB SAO and my G22 in the beach water of Manasota Key, secured by CRKT Dragon and old school Taylor Seto Tanto...

Not sure I get your question brother ,
But I am running an h3 with Sprinco blue spring
Works pretty good with 110/124gr slugs and subsonics .

Most uppers I run have adjustable gas blocks but this one is fixed

Suppressor is Omega 300,
I like these cans, relatively lightweight, relatively short , and I have a lot of rifles with ASR mounts
