Our deer archery season opens in a little less than a month so this weekend was the last hurrah of centerfire at the cabin for a few months. Brought another .22 and the .260 as well. Shoulder is not going to be super happy tomorrow.

What is your impression of the 30 carry?

Admittedly, I don't have a whole lot of time with it. However, in my limited time, it's living-up to my expectations. I have high hopes for it and one of them is that the cartridge doesn't go the way of the dodo.

Time will tell.

So far, not too bad. The ball/range stuff hasn't been difficult at all. The "defensive" stuff hasn't been as readily available, but still not difficult...maybe just a few more minutes "shopping", especially if I'm looking for something in particular.

Mind you, all of my stuff has been mail-order. So, I really can't comment as to the availability at my LGS.

No gun, but related stuff. It is starting to cool down enough to actually enjoy going to the range, so I am processing some brass to load. Not all of this, but I do batches and rotate stages so there is a consistent flow over time.
