You da' man, even the Trex boards match... 😁

Took the Springfield Emissary to the range today. This is the 9mm commander size version (the Glock is my EDC and did not get fired today).

When I got the Emissary it had an issue. Multiple failures to extract. I "tuned" the extractor several times until I finally got it dialed in at the 400 round mark (just something that you gotta do with 1911's sometimes). Since then it has run flawlessly, including one range session with 400 rounds without any stoppages. Just put another 250 through it today without issue, and I am now at the 1225 round mark.

It likes Mec-Gar 10 round magazines, and works flawlessly with them, with any ammo I have put through it: 124 and 115 grain FMJ, and hundreds of rounds of 115 and 124 grain hollow points, including Winchesteer white box 115 grain, and 124 grain Federal HST's, and 115 grain Critical Defense. So that's 725 flawless rounds, and about 600 of those have been hollow points.

It also shoots very smoothly. Recoil is very manageable. A good thing for me because I have problems with my hands and wrists due to arthritis and carpel tunnel syndrome, so 45 just about kills me these days. It's also a bonus that (being 9mm) the slide is easy to rack.

Anyway, it is a great smooth shooter. It is accurate, and shoots right to point of aim. I really like the sights too. Great sight picture right out of the box (at least to my eyes).

I'd say I trust it enough now to carry as an EDC.

Sorry about the long winded post, but this is turning out to be one of my favorite pistols.
