Since we’re on G19s….

Hey what model Spyder is this?

Yup the Flex has a rear switch (which makes it ambidextrous) with the option of a HIGH or LOW switch. It's a pretty decent light for the cost.
Yeah, I’m trying to get some info before I purchase a light for one of my pistols. I can pick up a Surefire for around $225 new in the box, but if I can save on a Streamlight, I’ll probably go that route.

I still like my streamlight. It has proved to be reliable. It isn't super duper bright, it's definitely made for indoors use, such as home defense. If you want something super super bright, check out something else

Just my two pennies

I've run a couple different Streamlight TLR-1 HLs on various different pistols - at 1,000 lumens, I'd say they are about as bright as you'd probably ever need a pistol light to be. I also have a TLR-7A, and a ProTac 2 on my carbine. All have been great lights and I've had no isses with any of them.

For a duty-size pistol, the TLR-1 HL is a great choice and you can often find them for about a Benjamin less than the Surefire (although those are great lights as well).

From what I’m seeing, some of the Surefire lights are draining those cr123s in a few months. I’ll be putting the light on one of my home pistols. My carry pieces don’t have lights on them.

I am not sure I agree with the indoor only point. I have run the TLR-7 in two outdoor lowlight classes and while it isn’t as bright as a U-Boat I am not sweeping with it. 500 lm w/ 5K candela is more then adequate for outdoor defensive pistol purposes.

I carry a TLR-1 HL on my EDC gun, and I’m planning on purchasing a TLR-7 Sub for my Sig P365 backup gun. Streamlight’s done well by me. I’ve looked into Surefire but didn’t see enough added benefits to justify the increased cost. The only “expensive” pistol WML I’d currently consider would be a Cloud Defensive or Modlight, but neither are a priority at the moment. Especially since that would mean finding new holsters for both conceal carry and for my ALICE belt rig I take to the woods, which just sounds like a bit of a chore.
