Well, I'm finished. I've finally edited every image that I shot. It's been nutty.
Let's resume....
Mace Vitale, JS is building forged knives with a soldiers intention. Good stuff from him always!
Dan Piergallini built and
Sergio Franco designed a no-nonsense sticker. No matter how warm that handle material is, it's
not sheeple friendly.
Steve Hill must have been front and center at Woodstock in 1969. He's a dedicated hard rocker. Here's his tribute to some great classic riffs:
Butch Deveraux is a protege of Ed Fowler. That said, this one will work as hard as you can push it.
Canadian
Sean O'Hare moved east from the Northwest Territories to New Brunswick since we last talked. He's brought his style along for the move.
Charles Vestal proves he can make classic Loveless designs with quality and in smaller sizes.
And
John Young matched a scrumptious set of
perfectly matched scales to this one.
^^ John learned from
Steve Johnson. Steve and
Barry Lee Hands are slaying it with this collaboration!
Billy Mace Imel is as dapper a gentleman as you will ever meet. His knives are the same way.
Let's hear it for the
ABS Mastersmiths....
Lin Rhea, MS joined in with upstart
Samuel Lurquin to produce this eye-popping blade!
Henry Torres, MS: not a lot of frills on his knives, but a
whole lot of clean.
John Perry, MS found some of the grippiest stag in the US.
J.D. Smith, MS has found a niche working with Russian carving artist
Joseph Shnayder. TWO inescapable talents!
Bill Buxton, MS built this four-piece boxed set. WOW! It about bowled us over!
I opened with some soldiers knives and I'll close with some. Props to the makers over at Knifedogs.com for creating a project to build and donate almost 40 knives to active duty personnel. When I heard of the project, I stepped up and offered to shoot the whole set for them as
our show of support. It took Buddy and I a full hour on Sunday morning at 0630, but we nailed the shot!
This has been a MOST gratifying thread for me as well as the viewers. But,
most importantly for the
makers who I have presented here.
The support I have rec'd, the patience I have gotten from them (despite over a week's delay to view their work), is testimony to quality by their handwork and by their character.
Much appreciation to the Collectors who have commented and supported this thread.
And a final thanks to my partners: Susan and Buddy, for their invaluable help.
