Knives sightings and celeberties uses.

I remember reading a story in blade mag about David Crosby being a knife collector.

I saw that article a few years back also, he has been collecting Randalls since the 70's.

Earlier this year, there was a nice picture of Crosby and actor Noah Wiley of E.R. browsing the tables at the last Blade Show together.

JIm Carey and N. Cage were into high end folders years ago. Sly Stallone was a collector, might still be. Robert DeNiro is said to be a collector.

Why does seeing a "celebrity" using a knife on a tv show or movie equate to the actual person being a collector? I hope everyone knows how to seperate fiction from fact....

:D

No one said that all of these "sightings" refer to the person seen actually being a collector, some are, some aren't, and who really knows. If you read in the above I stated that I read Kiefer was but am not sure.

This thread is about knives in the media and used by celebrities, it dose not imply that they are collectors.

It's just for interested people who are curious and as I stated in the title post a possible reference for those who are interested in finding a particular piece, assuming someone reading knows of what they are talking about and replies.

I just watched the movie Seraphim Falls with Pierce Bronsan and was curious who made the bowie knife he used in the film? Tried a search but couldn't find much.
Scott
 Scott,... yeah man, I just saw Seraphim Falls, and that was one bad-ass bowie. Not too sure, but it looked like it was forged Damascus to me. I don't know about you, but I would love to have that knife.

Aerosmith are supposed to be knife nuts in general, Perry loves DR customs, Tyler loves Microtechs, and they have supposedly a huge collection of knives in general. Wouldn't surprise me if they were members here.

I think i found my favorite Spyderco wielding celeb. On the show Mythbusters, the one where they make the huge helium raft in the hanger, at the end Kary is shredding the balloons with what look to be a PS Delica. I like her even more now.

Adam uses his Leatherman multi-tool very often as well (I believe it is a Leatherman, the opening hole is a rectangle on the blade).

Habit,

Your comment about Kary strikes a chord with me. Someone that is concerned about "Values an what-not" really shouldn't have a reference to "Heaven On Earth Massage Parlor" as their location. Just my opinion.

Kary is pretty hot, but... I dunno, not much respect for women that do softcore porno (or hardcore for that matter)... Values and what-not.

P.S. In case you're wondering what I'm talking about, she did a photo shoot for I believe it was 'FHM' Magazine.

kary in porno, say it aint so lol.

she's sounding better by the minute to me lol..............

How did you like the movie? I liked the scenery and the plot but thought the ending sucked. I've been wanting to make a bowie for awhile. This movie just sparked my interest again. :D Same as when I watch Quigley Down Under.

We all know many celebrities are also knife lovers.
.:)

Is Kiefer actually a knife guy? I just figured that was a 24 thing. Although it would make sense because they've stuck with the halo's from the start.

Let's not forget Angelina Jolie who collects knives as well.

Deborah Harry of the musical group "Blondie" is a collector.

So is comedian Shelley Berman of "Boston Legal" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Last year one of the networks interviewed Shelley at his home and he was showing off some of his knives.

a few yrs ago a collector of MT knives was contacted to sell any MT's he had with the serial # "24" he didnt watch TV and didnt see any connection to anything and he later found out the buyer was sutherland, he collects MT's with that serial #.

he said if he woulda known he woulda doubled the price lol.

Are you reading the same thread I am? Your very first sentence set the tone and gist of the thread, whether you meant it to or not. Why you wish to "defend" what other people post is beyond me. Your thread is obviously to be about celebrities who actually collect knives. This is clear by the sampling I provided above. When someone mentions the use X knives in a series but makes no mention that the actual person behind the character cares about knives is what I was making jest about. Geez.

Scott,
I liked the "most-of-the-time-ruthlessness" of Brosnan. When he needed to kill, he killed. Except for when he had the opportunity to kill Neeson. What was he thinkin' when he didn't kill him? That he was just going to just appreciate his mercy and walk away? Bad tactical move. But, then again, he had this guilt trip going on, so...... Yeah, the ending sucked, like everything was now cool in Bedrock (Flintstones); all sins now forgiven.
Anyways, Scott, could you make us a couple of bowies like that? It wouldn't have to be Damascus. :) Although, you've got to admit, that Damascus looked cool.
Very cool. Could you make them Damascus?

Westcoast Choppers Owner Jesse James uses a Spyderco ( Endura SS ??)

Rush Hour 2 is simply a funny movie...

Gosh I hope you never go to the beach, women are often far less clad than the women in FHM.

Hmm, there's a difference between being naked in the shower and being naked on camera.

Maybe I am being a bit too judgmental, however.

I have seen posted quite a few times, that Sutherland collects MTechs. Also I think either Ms. Jolie or one of he dealers has posted before when discussing her collection of Balis.

So I Know, and by that I mean I read it on the internet, that they are both collectors . :)

Um, actually the Angelina Jolie thing we're 99% sure is somebody clowning around and seeing who they can get to believe them.

I was flipping through the TV channels and happened upon a program where celebrity Rachel Ray was slicing some vegetables with a Rachel Ray Santoku!!! She then drizzled them with EVOO and grilled them under the broiler!!! Yum-O!!! ;)
