This has always interested me in being a knife lover myself, and I am always curious to hear what people like to carry.
I thought I 'd start a thread where people can post a celebrity knife sighting or something that was used on a show or film as a resource to those interested in what's out there in the media.
See something on a show whether it be cooking, hunting, or a episode of 24, post it here.
Mark Wahlberg in the film "Shooter". I asked in another thread what is that auto/semi auto knife?
Didn't they also do a bike for Case Knives that had knife blades in the rims?
Yes I read he is a knife lover and a big microtech fan . . although who really knows but it seems to make sence seeing as how he ususally only uses Microtech and Benchmades.
Have not see Shooter yet, might have to wait until it comes out on DVD.
I don't how many of you watch NCIS, but I spot a knife I recognize about every other week in it. Notably, a Cold Steel Large Voyager SE and a Benchmade Nimravus, in separate episodes.
I just watched the movie Seraphim Falls with Pierce Bronsan and was curious who made the bowie knife he used in the film? Tried a search but couldn't find much.

Are you reading the same thread I am? Your very first sentence set the tone and gist of the thread, whether you meant it to or not.Why you wish to "defend" what other people post is beyond me. Your thread is obviously to be about celebrities who actually collect knives. This is clear by the sampling I provided above. When someone mentions the use X knives in a series but makes no mention that the actual person behind the character cares about knives is what I was making jest about. Geez.
Take it easy buddy,
I am not necessarily defending any one, and I wasn't trying to come down on you. I was merely trying to emphasize and point out the true reason and topic behind the post. I thought the topic and the finish of my post clearly stated what was the focus of this thread, (although if people feel the need to post information whether it be fact or opinion or belief about who is a collector, that is fine, up to them, on topic, and just as interesting) as seen by the above quotes which simply show posts about media knife sightings and questions or comments concerning them. Are there other posts about celebs being knife colectors? Sure, but really what's the big deal, we are all just people who share an interest here and like to talk about it an share our views. To be honest with you, if it brings a positive cool aspect to our love here of knives, I'm all for it.
I think many here who have seen the Hunted, Rambo, and others show or films, love it when the see knives on screen and feel the same excitement as I do. Some of these movies make me wanna go out and don my Mall Ninja mask and go "Shing Shing" in front of my mirror in my underoos.
I responded to your post in a friendly manner of explanation because it is hard to understand the tone of words on a screen which is why there are "emoticons" or the "smiles". Which is why your post kinda came off condescending to read. Your jest maybe with a
"Hey guys, are you sure these celebs are actual collectors or are you just assuming they are"
Than something like:jerkit: or
"Man, you idjits are too gullible, didn't your mama tell you not to believe everything you see on T.V.?"
And your last post felt like this
"F-u Stephan, your an idiot!"
Which is okay, I like that knida abuse, god knows I'm used to it and my step-mother gives it to me every once and awhile . . "hint hint"
In all seriousness, were all adults here until we go "shing-Shing!" and I wasn't going "Shing-Shing!".
I think what I am trying to say is, as I stated before "I heard" and "who really Knows". I don't think anyone here is going to read this and write a blog about how Pierce Bronsan is now thier Idol because he wields one bad A$$ bowie in a movie.
P.S. Good Call on Seraphim Falls I saw the cover at Block Buster and wanted to kiss it. Not for the knife but Pierce is just so dreaming and we're meant for each other because I now know he is a knife collector.
I'm just playing guy.
I see your point and it's well taken.
