You're going to want to destroy the brain, so the first and most obvious weapon is a machete. I recommend Becker or any of the other high-end professional machetes. Another thing...you're going to want a trench spike for close-hand combat. A trench spike was made in WW1 for trench warfare, where soldiers were in extremely close quarters, and it is built for stabbing downward through an enemy soldier's helmet. The Zombie Survival Guide also recommends a wakizashi and a katana.

This is a knife forum, but the book also states that when you are mobile, ride a bicycle to keep quiet and maneuverable.

Your gun arsenal should include an M1 Carbine with at least 500 rounds. The M1 Carbine should include a scope and a silencer. Carry a hand firearm too; and have a silencer for that as well.

So that's my boredom post. In case of a zombie invasion any of you will know what you need to kick some zombie ass.

sure is /k/ in here.

in this world of hypothetical impossibilities, I am fantastically wealthy and I simply hire 6 or 7 people to gaurd my house, which has 13 foot tall walls that are electrically charged, with .50 calibur machine guns.

Well, I would just fly my dragon to safety.:D

Are we talking regular slow zombies, or the faster more modern zombies?

Seems like a nice 12 guage shotgun would be much more practical than a knife, and maybe even a rifle. With buckshot, your aim doesn't have to be as exact. You could use slugs for a little longer range.

I think you need to go with the proven paired kukri.

If its good enough for Milla Jovovich it should be good enough for you! :p

In case of Zombie invasion I'd surely love to have Mila Jovovich and her paired khukuris.

I'm not sure, but I think I'd rather have an axe then a machete.
Hitting them on the head, you have to go trough the skull which is pretty thick. In the real world I think the heft of a good axe head will help destroy the brain better, I don't care what they show in the movies.

wait, what?

you dont need heft if you have speed. really if your goal is just to remove brain matter you should look into one of those japanese spears that basically have a katana attatched to the top.

Blades don't need reloading.

Yeah, but axes are heavy and they would take a long time for you to restrike. What if you were surrounded and needed to attack again as fast as possible? What if your axe became stuck within a zombie's head?
