If TSHTF I'll need to borrow one of those.......please:D

My large blade would be an HI Everest Katana.

Then my folder would be my Benchmade Dejavoo.

And I'd use my Dad's Cz40 for a pistol, and snipe with my rem. .270.

Man, I need more fighters..

The brand new Swamp Rat Rodent Waki- being released today at Blade. The final word in Zombie Deanimation.

I'm a big believer in zombie preparedness. Obviously a shotgun is best for blowing up zombie brains, but all you'd really need would be something like a Ruger 10-22 with an 25 round magizine -- lighter, and you could carry a lot more ammo.

Hmmmm. For slicing off zombie heads I'd probably use my BRKT Golok (sp?) or my vintage Cold Steel Trailmaster.

Just posted this the other day in the recent purchase thread.

excellent choice,,:D

I'm a firefighter in Texas, and we have a zombie plan. Machete is a must, .22 rifle (10/22 probably best), .22 pistol silenced prefered. You can carry TONS of ammo in very little space, BUT the blades are going to keep you going longer.

I like the D2 Kershaw for durability but you also need something longer...Spear or sharpened spade (lobotomizer lol) of some sort.

Glad to hear some worth while zombie talk going on.

+1,000 on the Swamp Rat Rodent Waki

I know, I know, I was just bored as hell.

Actually I honestly think a zombie situation is more likely, however unlikely, than a dragon popping up. I mean often the story starts out with some sort of virus or bacteria that turns people into zombies. Some form of freak disease is actually more realistic than any kind of fantasy monster turning up or extinct creature (like a T-Rex) returning from oblivion. Maybe not in the form of zombies, but perhaps irrational or delerious masses of infected people that turn everything on it's ear. We saw in Katrina the people that came out of the woodwork to steal and pillage. Mix that with some sort of disease that makes someone irrational, violent, or blood thirsty due to a combination of fever and or chemical balance problems and you got something close to zombies. For such a situation zombies cannot argue with the raw hate of a Benelli M1 Super 90 and a Busse Combat AK47. For a pistol you'd want something easy to feed and light. I'd pack a Glock 19. 12ga and 9mm can be found in most wal-marts, hardware stores, and gun stores. So you'd be able to find ammo easier on the fly. Easier than something like 308 or 357sig.

LOL, I think it's fun to talk about "Never-Gonna Happen" scenarios.

wait, what?

you dont need heft if you have speed. really if your goal is just to remove brain matter you should look into one of those japanese spears that basically have a katana attatched to the top.

LOL... A Naganata?

I'll stick with a Becker BK-9, thank you. For dealing with Zombies up close and personally, there's nothing better.
