Knives- What is the big deal?

There is something wrong with us. Nobody knows what it is but in the meantime we buy more knives. So to sum it up... We're are loons
 
This is my first post to the forums... I carry every day, inside and out. Starts off with a Cold Steel Recon 1 with tanto blade. I have probably 2 others in my car, then when I get to work, I have a spare there, and 2 others that I carry for other jobs. I think the knife is such a simple, effective tool, and when it comes down to it, within a shorter distance it is as deadly as a gun.
 
High end expensive knives are men's jewelry according one collector I met at Knifemakers' Guild Show this year and I have to agree with him! That is exactly what it is!
