Knives you have given away

I tend to gift knives to my dad and my boys.

Forged this knife to give to my dad a few years ago.

I often give knives to the service techs in my group. I use this as an excuse to buy what Next Great Budget folder strikes my fancy, then give them to guys in the field or swap them out for their knives while I sharpen them. I have given Izulas to two of my younger plumbers (one was a welcome to my group, the other was a replacement for his Le Duck when I gave him a promotion) and recently issued an Eskabar with TKC scales and Armatus kydex to one of my guys that had a habit of carrying garbage steel. The only one of my plumbers that doesn't carry a fixed blade uses CJRB recoil locks that I have given him. I tell all of them that they can't do anything to these knives that I can't fix.

This Christmas my brother in law and I were talking about knife steels and what kind of knife he should get within a certain budget. I had a kizer guru s35vn in my pocket, so I showed him what I was carrying and just gave it to him. I’ll give family pretty much anything, except the Microtechs, they are mine 😀

I remember when you made it...... Awesome job... How's it holding up..
Love to see some scars on it from it labors😜..
Again, great job on A great knife...

I use various knives in my workplace, am kinda the go to gadget guy. I was happy to hear "A man is not fully dressed without his knife" from an older female coworker seeing me cut up an apple in the breakroom, and also to see a younger coworker get giddy and do the "grabby hands" motion when she saw me fire my UTX-70 to cut something, then proceed to 'play' with the knife (opening and closing, nothing stupid).

That girl has a brother who comes in sometimes and has also expressed interest in needing a good knife, gave him an OD green RAT 2, and another coworker, a really cool guy, gave him yesterday the choice between a tan/DLC D2 RAT 1, or the Buck 110SS below that I dyed, he picked the Buck!

I intend to give away various SAKs and stuff as I get to know folks and meet them. My girl basically stole my orange alum PM2!!

I have also given a Kudu to my girl's little brother, a custom David Mary cleaver for my girl (cannot wait till it arrives) and a few customized SAKs to my girl and mom. Hope to give something nice to a friend in the Marines.
Get the Marine a Ontario OKC 3s. It'll bring his mind right back to boot camp.

Last one I gifted was VG-10 higonokami to my "Japanofile" brother and made pouch for it. I doubt he ever uses it, he is more into staring screen and being interested in his bubble.

Spyderco Delica to a friend who needed a knife at work daily. I prefer the Dragonfly
Esse Zancudo to our handyman because the lock stick was tearing my thumb up
Sanrenmu 7010 to a friend because i hated the tip down carry clip
Gordon Harbor Freight flipper to a colleague when I got mine. Amazing for 10 bucks

I have given several knives. The one that sticks to memory is a tops produced browning buckmark, that still smelled like the rattlesnake I skinned with it. He enjoyed it.

A small bunch over the years in the traditional section, a spyderco to a coworker, and some junk stuff to reddit people.
