Don’t know - just a photo from the interwebs. Is that an SOF Convention Knife? I have 1 as well if so...
Iron was very common in the Bronze Age. They just didn't have forges hot enough yet to work it properly into tools and weapons, so there wasn't a lot of incentive to mining much of it, because it wasn't very useful. Iron was used for jewelry and other not tool related purposes. An exception would be made for meteor iron, because it had a "magical" or religious significance to the people for ceremonial purposes, so that stuff was pricey and rare. Even when the Hittites were arming themselves with iron weapons, they weren't as good as the bronze weapons of the time. The Hittites were forging iron, but still nothing like the quality we associate with later iron forging. Iron was just much easier to obtain the raw materials to make them than copper and tin.
Never carried due to being a convention knife. I have a couple SOF Conv knives, all the same number. ;-)Don’t know - just a photo from the interwebs.
How do you like yours? Does it make you feel like a Hobbit?![]()
I lusted after a pre-Regular Sebenza for a while and finally snagged one in November. I’d like to get a P of some kind but if it never happens I’ll be happy with this.A small P Sebenza from '95. STUPIDLY passed on one about a year and a half ago and have been kicking my ass since. Hopefully some day one crosses in front of me again.
I'd be happy with a small Original even without the P.I lusted after a pre-Regular Sebenza for a while and finally snagged one in November. I’d like to get a P of some kind but if it never happens I’ll be happy with this.
