For me it’s the Benchmade gold class infidel 330081. Only 50 made over 10 years ago. I have not given up hope on getting one as I know someone who acquired one last year so it IS possible!

The Demko AD-20 in full Ti, preferably slotted. Definitely my white whale (shakes fist at heavens).

I always thought the Cold Steel Natchez Bowie looked good, taking into account what it actually was, a fighter, not a chopper. But, I never got around to pulling the trigger before they were discontinued. Now, it's back, sort of. The new versions are made by Fox, in Italy, one in 3V, one in 4340 stainless. That one is more in my price range. Not a big fan of stainless for big blades, but for a pure fighter, it's acceptable. But, they've been on pre-order for months. Their loss.

I got tired of waiting, and ordered a Kailash Blades Regent Bowie. Custom. Handmade. Forged 5160, and a full tang, so no questions of mechanical failure, the only real issue with the Natchez Bowie. And only a couple of more months to wait. I can live with that.

Win/Win!!

Les George Hydra fixed blade in PD1
Gossman Tusker in 7” 3V
SET M4-6 in 80CRV2
Calavera Cutlery El Patron lefty ( or righty ) large drop point in 3V or PD1 ( thumb hole non flipper ).
I’ve wanted a thumb stud patron for as long as I can remember

ZT 0500 Mudd. I don't have too many "Damn, I should have bought one" moments for knives but that is one of them.

I'm admittedly too cheap to buy the 'bay or any other 2nd have prices now.

Waynorth Cutlery has such a great taste when they factory order from GEC, always amazing.

I would sell 49% of my soul and my parents for one of these..

That IS a sweet deal!

At least for the f...... flipper..

Don't remember what these went for, but was prob in the 80-110$ range.

GEC are pretty much ruined for the average knifeguy who just wants a nice traditional, they have become the flippers mecca.

It's like winning the lottery getting one new from the mothership.

I couldn’t agree more. We have maybe 4-5 in our collections here at casa de Neal. All bought on the porch. Wouldn’t even think of buying any where else.

Yeah, I've got nine. And love'em..

My problem though is that I'm in EU, not many on the porch is willing to ship overseas for some reason. Anybode cares to explain why this is? 🤔

Most Americans hear nothing but horror stories about things getting hung up in European or even Canadian customs. That and the cost to ship overseas is high and actually takes more than three minutes of their time so most can't be bothered. On their behalf, I apologize.

As for my unobtainable, it's a Zero Tolerance 0170.

They last sold for ~$100 on clearance because no one wanted them. Today they fetch $300 to $400 on eBay.

What makes it worse is, alibaba and the other import sites had knockoff 0170s listed so even if I found one for a reasonable price, I couldn't trust that it's a real 0170 having never handled an authentic ZT.

Whoah, I didn't know they were selling for money like that now days. I have one back home at my parents house. Like you said, they were selling for cheap at the end of their production because nobody wanted them haha. They are an awesome blade though. I've got one of the big 3v recurves back home too, I can't remember what model it is.

The 1st two points doesn't make sense, those would be the buyers resp., but I get the last one, there is some xtra hustle with the shipping, I'm lazy myself. 🤣 🙈

This is a first for me. Usually knives I want are ones I can get. But I overlooked this one and now I really regret it...

I am looking for a Schrade One-Piece with the less aggressive utility blade profile. The model number is SCHF2, but that also applies to a similar knife with a spear point. These have been discontinued for a few years now, I guess.

Looking for one for our grandson's birthday next fall so its got to be in near-new condition too.

T5his is probably just me chasing unicorns in the mist.
