Knives you would never buy again!

The ONLY SOG that interests me, is the Vulcan.

I like the Vulcan and Mini Vulcan generally, but the handle has hot spots for me and is not comfortable to use. These were my very first flipper knives. My first assisted opening knife was the SOG Blink and later the various Twitch models. But that is water under the bridge now for me.

Kershaw select fire. I bought it on an impulse because I liked the bit driver concept , but the ergonomics are horrible.

When I was but a wee lad, before I knew much about knives, I bought one of the Bear Grylls knives.

When the knife failed, I decided I was going to learn more about knives so I could make an informed decision and buy a replacement that wouldn't break on me.

While I would never dream of buying one of those knives (at least in their current state) again, I am forever grateful to the Bear Grylls line of knives for sending me down the path that eventually led to my joining of this community.

Benchmade 300-1 Axis Flipper. Its flipper mechanism won't lock the blade without a wrist flick.

Kershaw Cryo: assisted opening (back then I had no experience with it and did not know that I would not like it)
Kershaw Blur: assisted opening + recurve blade
Boker Vox F3 II (Mini): opening hole is hard to access + lockstick
ESEE 4: awful handle ergonomics + useless finger choil
Zero Tolerance ZT0560: too big + too "murdery" + bad blade geometry

I love the SOG Tomcat. I have all variants, but I don't carry them because they don't have pocket clips. Why, oh why SOG? I love everything about the knife, and I wanted to EDC it so bad. They will stay in my collection, but only for fondling.

Microtech......Customer Service??? Where is it??? Proprietary hardware with no included, or available tool??? Why??
CRKT.....keep every one.

No offense to the OP or posters here (well, no offense to most of you anyway) but, considering what happened to my mothballed thread shouldn't this one be listed under GB&U also?

any sog or crkt folder... all pieces of junk for the most part, their fixed blades from my experience tend to be fair for the $ spent though.

On the inexpensive end: S&W, Gerber, CRKT (liked the Foresight though), most Boker, SOG, Cold Steel, Mtech, UZI, low-end Kershaw, etc./cheap Chinese production stuff with low grade steels.

more expensive/mid end: Emerson, Ka-Bar, a lot of BM models due to pricing/QC (even though I've got a good number of Griptilians)

mid/high end: I can't even list as I don't think that I'll ever be able to afford the nice stuff

No. This thread is not a about a specific brand/model/maker/or transaction.

Still at it I see. I told you this does not end well.
