KW CF/M4 Para2 Exclusive

For some weird reason they won't say how many they received. It's probably somewhere between 800 to 1200.

I'm almost positive it's 1200-2400. The minimum order for a custom order was 1200 up until a week ago or so.

Yea, I called and asked if they were still taking pre-orders. A nice girl/woman said yes and then took mine over the phone.

Also, KW must have 1200 knives but only sell 1100 and keep 100 on hand for warranty issues

Ahh...my mistake, thought you were talking about the KW one.

As for why there is only 1100 for sale, it's probably bc 100 are CC knives

Those 100 are for the club members, and will be like the numbered one's you see.

They will have 1100 to sell, but the site says they won't have them for a another week or so.
It did say something about 400 being in the first batch, but it no longer says that, so maybe they'll be getting all of them at once.

Can't wait to get one. These will be awesome !!!

If these had a limit of three per order instead of one, they would all probably be gone by now. At least most anyone should have the opportunity to snag one...good call Knifeworks!

Agreed. Props to Knifeworks for doing their best to prevent flipping. Hopefully other manufacturers take note for future exclusives.

The KW email from last week on July 28th said: "We should be receiving these within a week or so". So, hopefully, we may see these starting to ship late this week.

KW will receive 1,100 of them, has taken pre-orders for about 700 up to now and has only about 400 left.

I was just on the phone with knife works and the saleswoman told me that they haven't received in a shipment yet but they think they'll get it later this week. I still think it's funny that we all bought the knife without a website picture. I know it'll look like the other releases but it's still funny to me.

Just to give it it's own natural history of use.

I've forced a patina on a knife before. This time I'd like to test out the natural method to see how long it takes to get a decent patina on it.

I've prepped dinner this week with my other jade m4 PM2 and the patina is coming along real slow. It's not instant staining like superblue.

The email, that's where I saw the comment about them getting them in batches !
Thanks for jogging my memory. I knew I had seen it somewhere, lol.

From the email...
Spyderco M4 Para Military 2 with Carbon Fiber C81CFM4P2, KW Exclusive

These will be released for pre order on Tuesday August 2nd at 8:00am CST. We will start receiving these within a week or so for shipment. We will be receiving these in batches, first batch is expected to receive around 300-400. Due to the limited number of 1100(estimated) that we will receive, there will be a limit one
per customer. This is to allow customers to have a fair chance of ordering. We have over 2400 customers on the notification email list to be emailed when these become available for purchase.

Hope I ordered in time to get in on the first batch, but I guess we all do.
If the last three digits of the order # started at 001 for the first sale, I'm between 300 and 400, so it will be close.

Any particular reasoning (looks, functionality, etc)? I'm not extremely well-versed in patina-ing.

Patina will help to protect the blade from rust. It's a thin layer of oxidation. Some people let it form naturally or you can force it with acidic foods/chemicals. I.e. Potato, orange, mustard, vinegar. Ect.

And it looks cool
