KW CF/M4 Para2 Exclusive

Their cart system must not do any real time stock checks, I just put 5000 of them into my cart and it didn't even hiccup. For a cool $1,099,750.00 they can be yours! If they only sold ~ 700 of them in 5 hours you can bet I won't be biting at the bit for their exclusives anymore. Which is good news for the upcoming S90V CF military.

Patina will help to protect the blade from rust. It's a thin layer of oxidation. Some people let it form naturally or you can force it with acidic foods/chemicals. I.e. Potato, orange, mustard, vinegar. Ect.

And it looks cool

Thanks. I was aware that patina helps against corrosion, but I just didn't know if there was any benefit to forcing a patina over it naturally occurring. I think I'm going to try and force mine with the mustard and bubble wrap method :)

Many of the earlier Para 2 exclusives, at KW and elsewhere, have sold out within a matter of a few days. If this one lingers, and I think it may, it will be largely due to coming out shortly after the less expensive M4 Para 2 exclusive offered by BHQ.

I think the 1/person limit must be part of the reason for the slower sales (BHQ limit was 3/person). I bought 2 of the BHQ version and would have also bought 2 KWs. The higher cost may have also deterred some people.

Yes, should have mentioned that in my post above.

Theres about 300 left. My call went right through with no wait. The major rush is over. I'd say these may make it until Thursday or Friday.

I agree, and don't think the cost had all that much to do with it.
If this knife had came out first with a 3 a person limit I have no doubt it would've sold out just as fast as the Jade/M4.
And if the Jade had came out second(today) with a limit of one per person they wouldn't have sold in a day.

Going by what the first two Carbon Fiber(PM2's) are going for I expect this one to be the same on down the road.
The Carbon Fiber Military's are the same way, but the CF Para's are a bit hotter since this is only the third.

If they're still there in a two or three days they could do away with the one per person, and I would definitely get another if that happened. I've seen it happen with a Sprint/Exclusive that didn't sale in a couple of days before .

I only got one of the Jade, but would've gotten three of these if possible.
This is going to be a HIGHLY desirable knife once they've sold out, and even more so in a year from now.

I received this response from KnifeWorks after inquiring about my order and when it will ship:

"We apologize for any issues you encountered while trying to submit your order this morning. We were overloaded with so many customers trying to place orders at the same time. I do see that you have an order for our M4 Para 2. We greatly appreciate your patience.

We should be receiving our first shipment of about 300-400 knives by the end of the week, but have not received a shipping confirmation from Spyderco yet. As we have so many orders that were placed at nearly the same time, I cannot say exactly when your order will ship out. We have too many to count where you are in line. We apologize for any inconvenience. Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day!"

The email, that's were I saw the comment about them getting them in batches !
Thanks for jogging my memory. I knew I had seen it somewhere, lol.

From the email...

Hope I ordered in time to get in on the first batch, but I guess we all do.
If the last three digits of the order # started at 001 for the first sale, I'm between 300 and 400, so it will be close.

They didn't. Every order no matter what knife gets the next order number. My order last week was xxx957

I got my order placed at 4 central/5 eastern. Last 3 digits of order were 953. Soooo, if those last 3 digits mean anything, then they are getting close to a sale-out.

They mean nothing. It's their normal invoice system, it picks up where yesterday left off.

They sell other products besides the PM2...

Well having missed out on the BHQ M4 I had to get this. A bit pricey especially with the exchange rate I face, but it's not like it will be worth less after they are all sold from KW.
Now I wait for it to arrive...

Well now I know why KW didn't put a pic up yet. There's already a KW pm2 m4 on the bay for $395. No picture, obviously. In the description it says 30 days to ship incase KW takes longer to get them in house. Wow...lol

Haha..doesn't mean someone will pay that...I remember people had Jade M4s up for $500 at first lol.
