KW CF Satin M4 PM2

Looks like they are back in stock at the moment.

Indeed. I wonder if they get it from Spyderco in batches or do dealers start to play this psychological game of out-of-stock then back-in-stock so that customers will pull the trigger quicker? Does not look to me it is due to knives being returned by customers.

by the way, is it just me or is the new knifeworks.com web site just awful?! Can't find a search window, then when I did it could not find any - ANY - spyderco "paramilitary 2". Something appears really wrong. Maybe it's just buggy with a new launch? Anyone else having problems?

It is. I sent them an email and refuse to buy from them after they messed up the site. Looks like crap, and the search sucks. The new site has been like this for at least a year and I've not bought anything from them since they changed the site. Part of the time they spell it "Para-Military" and the other times they spell it "Paramilitary". At one point they had the Para 3 listed as the "Paramilitary 3". Newer is not always better.

Refusing to buy is a maybe bit harsh, but to each their own. I got my knife in 2 days after ordering on a Sunday afternoon, and the knife is a near-perfect example. Can't complain about that. Nevertheless, I hate crappy web sites as much as the next guy, and it can't be good to know people are discussing how bad your "NEW" web site is on your 20th anniversary. Who needs that kind of bad press. Time to fire the web developer, for sure!

Quick Edit to say the site now has a search bar prominently displayed on the top of the home page. One bug fixed!

I wondered that, too. At least more people can still get them. I bet the flippers are just waiting to hit eBay with high prices right now.

Definitely my favorite Para2 of the variants I own. Congrats to those that were able to pick one up.

Retail at $220 I doubt how much profit the flippers can make out of it. Adding pp fees, shipping, and insurance, $235 will make even. They can ask $300 or even more on the flipbay, but will anyone buy?

Maybe someone in Europe after awhile

I own 40 ish knives but this is my first true duplicate. Have had same models of brands but never same configuration.

Had mine for two weeks now and the action has completely smoothed out. Lightening quick to open and just a hair short of being a free drop to close. Perfect in my view. Love this knife!

I've had 3 or 4 PM2s come through my collection (rookie numbers, I know. Bush league, really...) and this knife is just a joy to have and use.

I agree. Para 2's get 90% of my carry / use time... been that way for years now. I didn't think any model would replace my digi-cam/satin P2 as my favorite, but this one has.

I bought this one and the BHQ DLC model days apart, and never owned a PM2 before that. I no longer own the BHQ model, have 2 of these, and it has been carried almost every day since receiving it! Just a fantastic knife!

Rec'd the PM2 with M4 and CF today, ordered Wed and only 2 days to CT.

Absolutely perfect knife, amazed at how the QC at Spyderco is maintaining such a high level for production knives.

FK

Do people not like knife works or something? They have some compelling exclusives but they hang around forever. I would have thought this would sell out in a few days, but a couple weeks later and they still have them.

Nothing wrong with KW... I've bought from Roger and crew for years now. They have some very nice exclusives. Sometimes they sell out more quickly, sometimes it takes a while. If you're specifically referencing the CF / M4 Para 2, this is the second run of them, IIRC. They appeal to some folks, and not to others. I like Spyderco's peel-ply CF & I really like CPM-M4, so I bought one. Other folks aren't into CF or uncoated M4, so they'll pass.

I have one of Roger's micarta & M390 Grip exclusives and it's also outstanding. Other exclusive models don't appeal to me. You take your chances on what the public wants and what they'll pay for it when you sponsor an exclusive version of a knife. Sometimes it's a home run... sometimes not.

Well said sir.
I agree, nothing wrong with KW
