KW Exclusive Military CF/Ti S90V + CQI Improvements

This is frigging nuts and I need help! Mine is ordered too shortly after 6 AM Pacific Time :eek:

P.S. also received my shipping notification and seems like USPS Priority Mail. Should arrive on Friday if 2 Business days, otherwise on Saturday :thumbsup:

Can't wait!!!! Will be my first blade in S90v. I love their S110v in the Manix, can't wait to see how this guy does.

From quick searches here and there, it seems S90v likes a toothier edge much more than S110v does? Would that be the way to go when sharpening? I mostly cut hundreds of cardboard boxes, tape, zip-ties(depending on the steel I have that night), etc.

Heat Treat was what I thought and had Spyderco check when I sent it back... It just makes me have think twice about offerings in S90V .. 1 dud and 2 GTG.

Didn't find anything.. again if I didn't have first the Manix 2 CF sprint and Later the BBS Blue G10 as a comparison point the issue wouldn't be as noticeable.
 
The first version of this hybrid is one of my most favorite knives - had to order one, and it will definitely be a user. :thumbup:

Just got mine. Very nice. I think it is lighter weight than the prior KW G-10 / Ti / M4 Military.

Nice wire edge wire edge ! Mine just came in the mail too! PERFECT specimen of a Military. All my waiting since this was announced, has paid off! Perfect centering, smooth, even edge grinds, solid lockup, CF, Ti, s90v. I'd have to say this is truly my grail knife. Lighter than I expected. I'm going to have to pick another one up as a backup!

Thx for sharing the photos. Indeed it is a gorgerous knife. Got a couple of questions if those who received their new millies do not mind to answer.

1. The cf scale is a solid piece of carbon fiber, not a thin layer over g10, correct?

2. How is the balance like, both vertically and horizontally? That is, when the blade is locked, where the balance point is? Also, if the knife is laid on a flat surface on the back of the handle, will it fall to the cf side?

3. Is the finish of the Ti scale the same as that on a regular titanium military in terms of color and the roughness/smoothness of the surface?
