Lanny's Clip Thread

Some beauty's Paul, I like the deep cut swedge on Jared's and Romano's. I used to really like the Lanny's Clip, but I just didn't carry the pattern very often, hence I gave away the ones I did have. It is a very useful pattern, very robust. Thanks for sharing, Paul.

- thank you. Yep, Romano's grinding is real sweet.........the swedge seems to make such a difference to this pattern too.

And that looks a true beaut @dbla

My favorite pattern.

A great carry knife that will take any task.

Perfect shape and size.

Received this Keith Johnson and Ricardo Romano pair of Lanny Clips recently. They're passing through Boston on the way to Israel to it's owner mosseri but I decided to take some photos for him :D Figured I might as well post them up in BF~

Both of these sport some beautiful ironwood covers with cpm154 while the Romano differs a touch in size and sporting a full flat grind.

Picked up this Lloyd Lanny's clip off the exchange not too long ago. My first Lanny, and first Lloyd. I'm really liking it so far.

Pena and Romano are the masters of the LC! I have a Case Bose LC in chestnut bone, a LaRock LC in O1 and green micarta (I believe I got it in trade from Parke, and he put a laser edge on it that is great to maintain) and one of the pride and joys of my collection, a Dr T LC I got from Parke also, presumably ATS34 and worn red bone. I've started carrying the Case LC every day with a Case Tribal Spear.

One of the reasons I'm driving a 2003 Silverado instead of a 2016 Silverado...

Speaking of full flat grind LCs, mine from Brent is amazing!

This shows the grind nicely . . . It is quite the slicer!

Really nice, SA! That's one of the things that I like about my LCJ from Brent. The flat grind and wide blade make it slice like there's no tomorrow.

All these Lanny's Clip pics are making me itch for another one!

What a beaut, sir........very many thanks indeed  :)

Added to my line-up, this'un makes a real perdy addition (far left in Mammoth)...

Don't know what you guys think, but I am veering towards preferring the fine belt finish to the hand-rubbed.......kinda more defined... (here, the Dowell & Oeser together)
