Lanyards!!

bigmack127 has it right. There is tons of info already here on BF from guys that are much better at this than I am. You just have to go look for it but it's easy to find most times. If you have questions, PM me or email me and I'll be glad to help you on acid washing and stone washing without rehashing info that's already posted. You can find everything you need at local stores and do it at home for very little cost and a little bit of labor. It is one more way to make YOUR blades unique, along with your lanyard styles.
Thankyou very much

Is there anyway. You can just tell me what acid washing stone washing and black washed is. I've been trying to research but I type it in and it just brings me to a knife that has that done to it. If you could give me a brief description on those and the pros and cons that would be amazing. If not I can keep looking

Dude, this isn't crack. It's paracord.

Hmm, your right. It isn't crack; it is more addictive than that...

I don't have many lanyards on my knives. It is just something I haven't needed. But here is a gratuitous shot of a guard + lanyard I made for my one of my machetes.

Well I did a search on the forum but came up empty on this exact twist on an adjustable lanyard. I've seen people use this adjustable knot system for lots of other uses, but not on a knife lanyard. I wanted a fairly unobtrusive lanyard that could easily be lengthened when needed, be short enough to be out of the way when not used, and still be easily removed. When processing meat a lanyard could get bloody, so undoing two simple overhand knots will allow you to take it off without unraveling the whole thing. Of course on my 15 I use a shackle so lanyard removal is always easy.
I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this, but I've not seen it done this way before.

Made my own G10 Lanyard bead yesterday. I think it came out pretty good.

The bead looks nice, Moxy! What knot is that below the bead though? Is it a multiple overhand knot?

Looks great Moxy, what kind of fob is that next to your flashlight?
Regular glow in the dark or tritium?

If it's a tritium one I'd like to know where and how much please.

Thanks. I learned how to do it from Peter Atwood's site:

Sure is!

But ironically enough I broke mine today! The tritium vials are glass and I accidentally dropped my keys and sure enough it was cracked. Real bummer. So long as you're somewhat cautious with them they'll hold up.

The idea of making a divot in my scales and fitting a small tritium light into it has been in my head for a while. Maybe use clear epoxy to seal it and sand flush.

In my head it's somewhere between cheesy and cool, I can't decide.
