Lanyards are for whistles.

I just figured I would say that to stir the pot. I haven't actually ever tried one. Never felt the need / got around to putting one on a knife.

I like a short lanyard that hangs from pocket while knife is clipped there have been times when it made the knife easily available when hands were full. Not always but there are occasions it makes pulling knife easier

With a lanyard you can also clip the knife to other things like inside your office bag or school bag

Wowbagger is right....not a lanyard shown yet. All fobs.

I use a few fobs on pocket knives, and I have a few larger blades where I use a lanyard around my wrist for chopping.

only on smaller blades, for ease of extraction

and some MTs as I often have to let the multitool go to grab or use another tool or thing

I have RA so there's a lanyard on everything that has a hole or ring for one....helps me hold on to them better.

I have never heard them called fobs. most would think a fob is a small electronic device found on auto keys, etc.

I guess so, however it does seem that most still call them lanyards. after all its not called a fob hole on your knife!

Is Bladehq a reputable site? they call them lanyards. Nuff said.
