You guys are familiar with the traditional BladeForums logo:

We've had this for around 14 years. I love it, but it's pretty complicated and causes issues when I try to use it in other projects.

With that in mind, I'm opening up the floor for submissions for a new logo for the site. Simple is better than complex, this logo will be used on tshirts, engraving, and various other projects upcoming.

Rules:

• Logo should contain the text BF, BFC or BladeForums on it. Whether you want to add .com to the end of BladeForums is up to you.
• No limit on the number of entries.
• Nothing offensive, Not Safe For Work, or infringing on existing trademarks or copyrights.
• I personally will pick the winner.
• The winner will have the choice of a cash prize or various merchandise (to be specified at a later date, valued greater than $300). Cash prize will be no less than $300, payable through Paypal.

Requirements: I will need vector type high resolution artwork from the winner of the contest. Color logos should be able to be grayscaled or converted to single color without issues.

With that in mind, let the contest begin.

I have my roommate drawing up some concepts. Do you have any idea on when the deadline will be for the contest (days, weeks,...etc)?
Or will it just be when you come across the perfect submission?

Do you want us to just post submissions/concepts here, or send via an alternative method?

I have been informed that I should allow the abbreviation "BF" or "BFC" to be used instead of BladeForums if the artist desires. I'm down for that.

Again, remember - we're striving for a logo that will translate well into 1 color or two color formats. Think Nike swoosh or Apple logo, not something that requires 256 color shading.

Here is a quick version I threw together with pixlr.com. The leading is way off but if I knew I had some time I would install adobe illustrator on my home computer and make a clean version along with a few different versions. How long is this going to run for before you pick a winner?
