That AK is a beauty and a beast in one. A big AK is a must-have in your collection.

I love my Lachhu GS. I'd love a Kumar GS..but I already have a GS and need an AK. but you are right Cul! Somebody better buy that! The GS is one of the best designs bar-none.

Thanks for reminding me. Email sent for 18 inch 25 ounce Gelbu Special by Kumar.

They are very quality knives. I’ve got 3 of them. Usually with a mat finish.

This is my first Kukri I can't wait to see how it performs. I collect full tang survival knives e.g. Ka-Bar, Esee, Condor, Becker...etc. I am very excited about the HI Kukri because each knife is uniquely hand made and different parts of the knife are heat treated differently for different purposes. It sings to me as if it has more "soul" ;-)

Why is it "amazing"? I ask only because you speak from personal experience. Regardless of aesthetics, I'm skeptical of anything that isn't warranted for 'field use'. Last I checked the Foxy Folly isn't. Which is not to detract from the quality of any HI knife...least of all the FF.

Having said that I grant 'field use' covers a wide variety of options. Just referring to the HI Limited Warranty.

FF owners, please chime in...

I think the Foxy is one of the most pleasing to the eye Khukri's in the entire line up. The wide belly and shape are just sweet.

For the size and look they are generally very light and fast.

I care not the least for field use warranty. Each blade has it's limitations and people with common sense (admittedly rare these days) find it pretty easy to realize what those limitations are. I've not used my Foxy's much at all, frankly they are too gorgeous to mess up.

I thought seriously about getting this one solely for the intent of using it but just looking at the picture it's awfully pretty and I doubt I could actually mess it up either. Maybe some day.

I’m with you on that Mr Joe. I’ve got 2, maybe 3. 18” and 10” for sure. I would guess they would make nice flesh slicers and some light duty work but like you, too pretty to want to mess up!

They are good heavy duty knives for sure! I don’t know if they chop in the class of the CAK but my guess is they will!

I would love to see your massive collections!

Here's a start. I think mine had doubled since this photo was taken.

YVSA Cherokee Special named after a long time legendary member here who designed it.
There is that version and also another with an intricately carved handle.
I'm blessed with the help of a member here with both. Special place in my knife collection.

One even resides on top of the TV entertainment center. Was even the wife's idea.

Need to snap a picture of that.

Very nice knives.
