Last minutes Gifts for 12/19

Here's my carved version living on top of the TV. Still pondering how to include the two Karda's and chakma.

The handle, not a great picture but it's quite nicely carved.

The tools for both.

And the other version hanging with the family on the wall.

WOW!!! I am drooling what a collection! What's that beautiful piece that have a brown handle with rhombus creamy color inlays?
Oh! I thought you was talkin about my wife:D
The YCS is a great knife. I often wish they made a villager model and sold it like the KLVUK because its design is really unique. Its really front heavy and a great chopper. I really like the carved ones too. Nice one Bawanna:thumbsup:

Really cool shots of the YCS, thanks all.

Bawanna: under your YCS on the wall there is a sword (?) Curious! Please let us know what it is. Thanks.

It's a Giant Chitlangi Bowie. I think I have Mr Tall to thank for instigating that acquisition.

She's sweet.

Mr. Tall did you good right there! Everybody has to have a GCB:thumbsup:
I was just the middleman between Yangdu and Bawanna. Here are a couple more shots of it:

That handle craving is so intricate, AMAZING pieces Mr. Bawanna!!! YCS is definitely on my list next!

I don't see a "Post Your Himalayan Imports Pics here" for collectors to share their knives pictures. Do we have one like that in this forum for HI? If no we definitely should start one!

I LOVE my YCS Karda! It looks like yours have a bit longer handles than mine. Jealous ;)

Awesome thread, great blades posted!!

EMS Oyster knife!
There aint no better food than a 50 pound sack of raw oysters on the fly for the beach trip home! My wife would watch out behind me for cars coming up on us from behind so I didnt throw spent shells into their windshield and in exchange Id hand feed her the spoils of the sea goddesses for her services:D It was a long straight boring road along a railway road across Sinton / Taft and I got pretty dang good driving my 1969 Ford Econoline Van with my knees along that long stretch of road whilst shucking oysters along the way. Id shuck and pitch and feed till a car came up on us. Once we got inland far enough that we had to concentrate on traffic we had to refrain and save the rest of the bag for a later time but generally we were so tired from a few weeks of beach camping that we had to seriously concentrate just to get home. Then when we got home we usually had a bath tub full of live blue crabs purging so we had to wait till the next day after work to put them up so we could take a bath. Live blue crabs and fresh oysters were more important than going to work salty and dirty. Thats what water hoses are for! I sure miss them days!
This is the coolest oyster knife I ever saw! I hope its still there! I dont know how I missed it?

Thanks for sharing Ndog and hope its yours. Ill be sure to think of you next time I shake claws with a crab!
