This knife definitely has a "Western" look to it and the bowtie just goes better with the theme/scales. I got enough knives that remind me of destruction and war.Bombs are bad people!;)
 
I do agree that the bowtie sits too close to the center pin as it's pictured but that's not the final spot. The pics are just mockups so that we could all see the shields on the actual knife. Final placement of said shield has not been decided yet. I voted for the bowtie hoping that they center it OVER the center pin keeping all things equal.
 
Oh my goodness, neck and neck now at 107. The suspense is killing me! I voted Bowtie but will be thrilled for either.

(P.S.) In no way, shape, or form does "blast" reference anyone to vote short bomb :p.
 
Sorry to intrude, not a vote, because I'm too cheap to buy one, but:
I don't like any of the shields in this position on this knife. Too much shiny metal to add to the big birds-eye rivets.
I could go for the double ax, number four, if it were centered above the center pin.
 
Whoever voter #108 was on the short bomb was, I just want to thank you for overthrowing what appeared to be #3's fixed lead.

Can't seem to win on this years knife.

Wasn't too hot on the knife chosen, but the bowtie would of swayed me. I think long slim knives look best with a similar shield.

Congrats to the short-bombers, I have a feeling you guys are going to pull away :)
