Hmm, Thanks for the info Hal. Looks are one thing, as long as they don't "say" they were pre 1973.They contracted some of the Schrade Walden marked knives to Utica, Bear & Sons, and Camillus. The Camillus and Utica knives they tried real hard to make them look like pre 1973 packaging...
Actually, I believe that many of the U.S. made "nostalgia" marked knives were made for SMKW and others using "rented" trademarks owned by TBLLC and were not designed, comissioned, packaged nor sold by TBLLC.
Time and time again I have said, "Americans have always been proud of the things they make."
If it is not proudly stamped USA or made in USA there is a good chance it was not made in the USA Ken
If a seller dose not say or show the USA on a knife, it is a good chance it is a dud.
This is a Schrade knife without "made in the USA" stamped on the blade.
Just take a look at the biding for this "used look-alike" Ken http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Schrade-...116?pt=Collectible_Knives&hash=item415c40c60c
So, This one is the real deal? Are you bidding on it?
Bolster pins. Camillus did not use the Swinden patent keyhole bolsters.
