I'm truly sorry for your loss Garth. From what you wrote he sounds just like my dad who passed, with the work ethics and the selfless acts of caring for others and all. They just don't make em like that anymore. Tears shed and prayers said for him, may he rest in peace.
My and the Mrs. sincere condolences, Garth. Men of that caliber are always in short supply and due enormous respect. When we do meet our loved ones again I'm certain he'll be proud of you and yours. God bless him.
Sorry for your loss, Garth. Grandpas are a special kind of family member that teach you things that some others might miss. I only had one, and I cherish and miss the time I had with him.
Sorry to hear of your loss, Garth. I am happy, though, that God sent him to guide so many generations of your family.
My dad died when I was very young. He was also young, being only 51. Your story reminded me of things he used to do.
When I was a kid my older brothers and sisters had already grown up and moved out, so it was just me and my dad (parents divorced). More often than not my dad was letting someone that had fallen on hard times stay in the spare bedroom rent-free.
My dad would watch me struggle with something for a while then he would walk up and tell me “Lemme show you and oilfield trick.” I always knew something amazing was about to follow.
Sincere Condolences to you Garth and your family. Your memories are of a life well lived.
Christ has given us a path to everlasting life. I look forward to that time when I’m received and that reception line will be awesome
