Les George "Eagle" Wilson Combat collaboration - Thoughts?

After flipping the Eagle for and hour or so last night, I found it harder and harder to open. So I switched to left hand and Kapow! I'd been putting slight pressure on the lock bar more times than not. Now it flips with no more effort than my ZT560, no sore fingers, even pinky flips. Still missing a thumb stud (used to my Umnumzaan) but very pleased overall.

Oddly enough, I did the same thing switching over to my left hand and it was a noticeable difference. I think that's because I was doing it so much with my right that it started to get sore, and never felt easy after that for my right hand.

Just got mine -- smooth as butter!

And, yes, there is a definite family resemblance to the VECP, but with a thinner handle and the flipper.

Congratulations to Les and Wilson -- this one is a real beauty.

Gents, just to touch on the flipper action - mine was somewhat difficult day one but it flips like a dream now. Just a bit of break in and as other have wrote don't squeeze the lock bar which is easy to do with such a slim package. Have carried mine daily since it came and loving it!

I have to admit I was underwhelmed upon receipt..

The flipper was stiff on mine.. My biggest issue is the pocket clip. It leaves 2" of the knife sticking out of the top of your jean pocket. It looked like if I flipped the clip it would be better. Maybe.... It's just me, but I don't like walking around with a shiny hunk of knife showing out of the top of my jean pocket.

It's a simple looking and feeling knife. Which is a compliment!
I think it was designed to be carried as an EDC, but IMHO they missed the mark with the clip placement. If they could have put a spacer/ clip like the SR1 on it would be more desirable to me.

The clip is my one nit.

While it's certainly better than that spoonish-looking thing on the VECP, there's no reason it couldn't be more deep-pocket.

I don't mind it but I'm not a deep pocket carry fan at all - I actually enjoy the knife not taking so much pocket depth.

For me, any pocket clip that isn't a spydie deep carry wire clip is a compromise. But I do like this clip. In the tip down position, it is very ergonomic and hardly noticeable in a tight grip and I'm pretty picky. In the tip up position, there is a lot of handle exposed, but the handle shape makes for a great grip when pulling the knife and would be my preferred position for "woods" carry. That said, if there was an option in the future for an ergonomic deep carry clip, I would trade up even if it ment no access to a lanyard hole. Still lovin' it, definitely a keeper.

Now lets see it tip up..:) lets see that billboard..

Tip down carry is a huge downside to me.. At least, they tried to design it so you could kinda bury it. But for 500.00 I am not settling...

I'm a tip down carry guy regardless so it's a non event for me brother

My flipper is breaking in. Slowly but progress! I kinda agree with Harleyguy. I think this knife is overpriced.

They are all gone according to the website. Still loving mine, I think this is going to be a knife that sticks with me for a good while.

My Eagle has finally become nice and smooth after flicking it for a couple weeks! I love it now! Great knife! Price could be less and I wish Les' name was on it somewhere. Guys get this on your xmas list! They are really nice!! :)
