Haha, I know how you feel bro. Try dropping again and again, mixed with vaults, passes, and some wall climbs (basically try and find a wall that is about 3ft high but has a 8-10ft drop on the other side) Keep going over it from both sides repeatedly until your quads give out.

Last time I did that (after 1 month of no training whatsoever) I could barely walk for 3 days.

Yeah I've definitely had those days before :D I think all the hiking I did the first half of the school year saved my legs but my upper body was not ready lol.

And the stuff I missed yesterday...

B
Oatmeal

L
roast beef sandwich

D
Beef Stew

Exercise
Usual ten set stuff
2 mile run

I started going back to the gym a few months ago and have ben focusing on cardio and some strength training.
Diet has not been the best, so I was staying around 210. Also and 5'7". Yeah, I don't suffer from a high center of gravity!
Put on 5 lbs of the holidays, then sprained my ankle pretty bad so it has affected my gym time.
Wife and I started Vialis on January 1st and have gone from 215 to 208 from just the change in diet.
I just started hitting the pool this morning to start to rehab the ankle so will hopefully start dropping a little faster now.
The first goal is to get to 180lbs without losing much muscle mass.
Here we go!

** just heard from the wife, she has lost 9 pounds already! Very proud of her!

Time for a bump. I'm still at 230 but I haven't been eating the greatest lately either. My goal for the end of this year is to see my abs by my birthday; which is july.

the flu is so slimming :)

i should keep this trend going, now that it's over. mmm.

ran 2 miles today wheee!

You have the flu too bladite? I had some sort of bug the last couple of weeks, thats no good.

Those of you with Netflix watch "Hungry For Change"

Great flick, as is "In Search of the Perfect Human Diet" (not on Netflix thought). My family and I have been eating a whole REAL food diet for a couple of years now and we are always amazed at how much we can feel it when we deviate. Eating processed foods or too much grain of any kind turns our worlds upside down! I lost 75lbs after changing my life to a real food diet, an that happened in about 8 months. It is amazing how much just your diet can really change everything about your day to day... you are what you eat holds a lot more truth now.

Down to 206 from 215!! Sadly, the lightest I've been in a couple years!
Gym this morning: did some core work and some light stationary bicycle.
Still getting this ankle sprain to mend so taking the cardio lightly.

This!!!!!!!^^^^^

Ran a mile and a half yesterday for the first time in months. Wow, was that painful. Running is not my favorite thing :( Working on situps and pushups again too.

Christine and I are starting to get in shape for the spring climbing season. I'm about 10 lbs overweight and in perhaps the worst shape of my life. Really challenging to have to put the ego on the backburner while I'm suffering on workouts that were warmups last year.

Had a rough 2012 because of workload and health issues and it's been a struggle to get back into climbing shape.

Ugh...gotta focus on the positive.

oooOOOOooo... climbing shape. I miss that. :(

I've been doing my morning pre-shower micro sets fairly consistently this week, but it's really just the bare minimum for maintenance.

my weight is just fine, can see my abs, and I've been sticking with my "pushups every day" thing. I'm super skinny though. Need to figure out some sort of goal... trying to decide whether it's muscle weight gain, quantity/amplitude of exercises, or somehow size-related. Time issues mean joining a gym is out; my MMA stuff is all I've really got other than bodyweight stuff at home. Really want to take this great place I'm at right now and get as huge as I can with the frame I've got. Dunno... will figure something out.

Hey daizee, where have you been climbing?

How are the micro-sets working for ya?

hm, Gunks, New Mexico (when I lived there), and a little bit in New England - CT, NH. Hueco Tanks in TX once when passing through.
It's been awhile since I was serious about it. Need new shoes.

micro-sets are keeping me from turning into a slob, but that's about it. If I simply doubled my number of sets I'd be in decent shape, especially if I could get back on the bicycle.

Hey D! When the heck were you in Heuco? We used to go there every Feb for a month in the early 90s. About a 40 hour drive from Toronto. Met Christine (my now wife) down there. She used to drive down there alone from Edmonton Alberta to climb in the winter.

We are thinking about going back this Dec to celebrate our 10 year marriage anniversary, but we've been together much longer that!

Main changes in the first week and a half. Added at least one fresh fruit and vegetable a day to my diet, started actually taking my multivitamin everyday, and have had only 2 coke zeros the whole time (which is the biggest change, I was averaging about two 12 packs a week or more of sodas).
My only issue so far is that I pinched a nerve or pulled a muscle in my neck and I have to sit like I have a board strapped to my back, have not been able to get out for a walk since this weekend. Have not been able to sleep worth a crap either. Have to replace the battery on the scale so don't know if there is anymore weight loss, but at this point it doesn't really matter too much.

Cold,
Im with ya.....you guys here have motivated me...im ashamed to say outloud(at least on screen) that im 6' 268 as of this morning. Put on 50 the last three years after two shoulder repairs. I am gonna try the morning push-up workouts some post here and i gotta get my cardio going as it is crap. Mcd's sweet tea and starbucks are my heroin. No more. Keep up the good threads and the workouts. Its freezing here so inside cardio like treadmill/ elliptical stationary gel bike trainer is bout it.
