Let’s talk about SOCKS

Probably time for another pair. ☺️

(I have several pair. Haven't had to warranty any of them yet.)
One thing I find remarkable them (in different styles/thicknesses), is even after a very long dirty day, the socks just seem to regain all the original loft after a wash. I love their socks so much that they are the first clothing I pack when heading out.

I used to by Bass Pro Forever socks. Nice and thick and i would wear them in my Crocs. They had a great warranty. I think that stopped awhile ago. Started wearing Darn Tough.
Replaced a about five pairs because I beat the crap out f them. No questions asked. Great friggin socks.

So before I started buying balegas for running I used to buy a brand called Feetures. They were pretty good socks also with a lifetime warranty. One sock developed a hole eventually so I thought I would test the warranty out. I called the contact number to determine the proper procedure. A nice lady answered. I told her what I wanted. She asked how long I had the socks and I told her a few years. She then asked if I got my money's worth out of them? I somewhat sheepishly told her I had and to have a nice day. YMMV.

I look at a forever warranty as just that: Forever. It's a contract. You paid your money, they should not have shamed you into letting them out of a contract they themselves offered and sold to you. That's my opinion anyway...

I've never put much thought into socks. I always got the Gold Toes or Hanes & wear them til they wear out, which is reasonably long. I have bought Carhartt & were very disappointed with them. They started after losing their elasticity after only a few months. I was surprised because Carhartt usually makes good tough workwear. I might have to bite the bullet & try these Darn Toughs. They sound really good. I have never spent $25 on ONE pair of socks though.

After you put them on and wear them for even 30 minutes, you will be wondering why you didn’t do it earlier! Comfortable and dry feet are incredibly important to me.

I tell you what- I always appreciate your posts. If you get a pair and are disappointed, I will personally send you $20! There are only a handful of products/companies I truly believe are the best, and these are in there.

That's really cool that you appreciate my posts. I think nothing of my posts, so it's nice to hear that. I wouldn't dare take your money though. Thanks friend.

I hear you and I suspect that they would have sent me a new pair. However I had them for several years and I don't expect them to last forever and felt like I got my money's worth. That said I didn't feel bad at all about taking that busted craftsman socket wrench in and exchanging it so I guess I am not the most consistent person in the world!😁

On these "forever warranties" on fancy socks...

I've always thought of a warranty as a protection against manufacturing defects. As in I can send them in if after a few wears the stitching comes apart or some other obvious non wear related damage.

But then I thought about the old Craftsman warranty where you just bring it in and they would swap it out (or any other brand with a similar warranty)

I would feel funny asking for a replacement pair of socks that are just worn out. Or is that the point to paying the high up front asking price?

Yet another first world problem I never would have guessed I'd ever be concerned over... :/

Exactly the same! That's sort of where my head was too. I guess I expected that socket wrench to last forever but not the pair of socks?

Really, you like the Bombas?

I’ve tried to buy them a couple of times but the wild gay colors always had me leave the site before I’d pull the trigger!

I want socks, not a rainbow flag!
I do like em. Jeannie buys everyone in the house a 6 pack of Bombas for Christmas and I wear them, along with Darn Tough, with steel toe boots everyday for work. They’re just socks, so I don’t pay much attention to them. They don’t look like a rainbow flag though, just subdued colors. They’ve been just as durable as my Darn Toughs though.

I remember when those two young men were on Shark Tank & the colors then were “very vibrant “ to say the least!

I just looked after I posted & they are a lot more toned down now!

I’d consider buying some now…

I think you’ll like em, very durable and comfortable socks. I wear the wools blend during winter and the regular ones during summer.
