Spicy Hot Peanut Butter B-B-Q sauce

in a blender grind 6 dried habeneros & 6 datil peppers to dust. add a can of chipotle peppers, deli mustard, Worcester sauce, oil, red wine vinegar, 2 tbs. peanut butter, 1/4 cup of dark Karo syrup or molasses. blend, adding water to bring to a brushable consistency.

primary B-B-Q sauce is a low county 'gravy' consisting of apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and oil.

spoon primary sauce on both sides of ribs, wrap in foil and bake in the oven @ 350 degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour 20 min.

meanwhile you have fired up the grill so that you can remove the ribs from the oven, baste with Spicy Hot Peanut Butter B-B-Q sauce and place on the grill bone side down. 10 or 20 minutes over low heat, watching that they don't burn and you're done.

Here you go

ow in the world do guys keep track of how many posts you have in this thread?

Gotta be careful handling those habaneros. Especially the white ones. If you're going to crush them to powder, make sure you wear gloves and a face mask. Also, make sure you wash your hands and fingernails good before picking your nose, rubbing your eyes or taking a leak.

.

Some people have nothing better to do than count their posts...

j/k Actuall, go out to the "Busse Combat Knives Forum" page. You'll notice that the total number of posts is a link. click on it. That will bring up a summary of who has how many posts in the thread.

And, if you try to make your own hot pepper oil, DON'T HEAT IT UP!!!

Years ago, while questing for the hottest food goin, I decided to make my own hot pepper oil.

A friend had given me a doz. dried habeneros. So, remembering a flashback from chemistry class, heated liquids can dissolve things more and faster than room temp liquids.

Out came the saucepan, in went the oil, and the now crushed habeneros. Sat down to watch Monday night game.

About 15 minutes later, my wife and I were wondering what the he(( was making our eyes and noses water.

It was then that the light came on, and I immediately jumped up, threw open the back door, and moved the saucepan of homemade tear gas OUTSIDE.

Of course, there was 2" of snow on the ground, but the open door and fresh air were a welcome relief.

That ended my one and only attempt at making hot chili oil. Wife wouldn't let me afterwards, and now this stinkin GERD keeps me off the hot stuff.

Man, that pepper sauce sounds good, but again, my body says no twice. Once with the hot, and the other with this stinkin mammy fluggin nut allergy crap.

Sheesh, after all I do for my body, it treats me like this..... :grumpy:

Yeah, as they say "Hindsight is 20/20" or something like that. If we only knew, we'd have taken better care of ourselves.

Gettin' old ain't for sissies
