Let's Congress

The forum knife is beautiful. I can only hope GEC releases that pattern in another version.

Here are couple of renditions of the Case 52:

I love this pattern, and to think that I never heard of it just a few years ago. I have more pics to take, if I can get away from homework for 15 minutes. I added a Bulldog in ram's horn (like Pete's), a Boker carbon green pick bone, Weidmansheill stag half Congress with two large Damascus sheepfoot blades, and the topper, an AG Russell/Hen & Rooster in coral Rucarta, it's beautiful.

I asked for a stag handle Boy Scouts Congress with 12C27 steel blades for Christmas, it'll join the forum knife under the tree. I also grabbed a GEC NF half Congress in yellow banana bone before they were all gone :D

Wow.. anybody got an extra forum knife?? Hot darn!

A little update I had to send my Red bone 5452 back to Boker, after a few days the two pen blades became floppy, and only the sheepsfoot was carbon, the two pen and coping were stainless, Boker said the tooling had started to fail towards the end of production and they mismatched parts, Boker ( Terry ) said send it back and they would replace it. They did and I'm happy to say they replaced it with the carvers congress, rosewood scales very pleased with their ( Terry ) customer service.

Bummer I did like the red scales on this one

Went right into the pocket.

I've got one of those congress knives from Boker,, Pete. I planned to use it to whittle with but I always end up with my trusty Case.

(BTW, lookin' good in gold, brother. ;))

Very late to this party. Pete, you know I have always admired that Northfield of yours. It is a very nice example of the pattern, and of course a lovely expression of kindness from your ladies.

I still don't have a Congress pattern. I nearly picked up a Bulldog from Steve, but ran out of money before desire.

One of these days.

Congrats Pete, fine looking knife. Terry has went above and beyond a few times for me, great guy.

Thanks Elliott, I feel like PonyBoy "stay golden"
Doug, the congress pattern has become a favorite and that Northfield is one of the all time favorites besides the fact it's a great knife the sentiment makes it a treasure.

Kris, I always have had great luck with Boker, first time I used their customers service, it is top notch

Pete

Ps Doug and Elliott good to see you both around

Thanks for the photos of the carvers congress Pete, a great looking knife. I quite like the look of that large spatula-like spey blade, do you find it useful? Or is it too early to say? I know you like having more than one sheepsfoot on your large working boker.
