I would not think so on a Tree Brand, their top of the line goods. I'd say bone, unless proved otherwise.

Generally, I'm not a fan of shadow patterns but that Oeser half congress is very nice.

Arrived home to find this in my porch, from Texas. I had been searching for a 3 and a half inch congress, all the ones I have up until now have been 3 5/8 or 3 3/4. This size is perfect.




Never had a Moore Maker before, this is a smooth yellow bone one in 1095 with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters. There are makers tang stamps on both sheepsfoot blades and a year of manufacture (I'm guessing) stamped onto the coping blade - 1999. Interestingly, there is a secondary clip blade instead of a pen, which is kind of quirky, stamped with it's model no 5400. Unfortunately the simple brass shield is glued in place rather poorly, but that's not unusual and not particularly unsightly. The yellow bone is great, and it'll be a user anyway.



I'm a happy man, it fits in the pocket nicely, and I'm sure will perform.

I was looking at one of those, they're good looking folders. I prefer carbon blades than stainless unfortunately, which swayed me.

Love the stag though!
