Lets get em goin in STAG ...

Phil is correct. This knife is a collaboration between Ed Fowler and Joseph Szilaski. Ed made the blade and did the silver solder work attaching the guard, while Joe did the handle and carved the guard. As far as I am concerned these two great makers, between them came up with one of the nicest knives I have ever seen.

Ah! If it were only mine. The knives I have been posting are a wish list. The only one that I have on order is the one from John Fitch. There could quite possibly be a Caffery knife in my future. I saw one on his web site that I kinda fell in love with. Since it doesn't have a stag handle, I can't post it here.

Please post it Keith, just for interest...;) I would love to see it...I only posted my new tomes because it had a sceric of stag at the end!:D

I nearly purchased that but somebody beat me to it!

Isn't it sweeeeeeeeeet !

Time to add another great looking stag knife. This picture is taken from the Knifeart site and it is of a Jerome Anders drop point hunter with a 4 1/4" blade of 1084. It is 8 1/4" overall.

Ok Guy, here is a picture of that Caffrey knife I was mentioning that I would like to get. It has a 4 1/2" 52100 convex ground blade with walrus ivory handle.

After this it is back to stag handled knives only. ;)

thx Keith....it sure looks well built (if thats the term?)...:D

Is it just me, or do others like knives that have a large choil area that clearly shows where the blade starts....adds very much to the characteristics to a bowie style I think.

Very nice.

This one is taken from the Robertson Custom Knives site. It is wonderful skinner by George Herron. 4 1/2" blade made from steel that George produced himself. There are only 11 other blades that were made from this steel. This is one of only three knives with a stick tang that George Herron made. Very rare.

I don't have many, but this is one of my favorite stag pieces. Ferenc Tumpec from the Czeck Republic did it all. (DNC is the acronym for the first letters of his wife and children. Awwwww...;))

That photo won me a CKD contest a while ago too!

Borrowed this picture from Blues. He posted it in the Gallery Forum. This knife is by Al Pendray and may just end up being something like the one that I get from him. Love that wootz.

Gorgeous stuff you guys! Thanks for the pictures and comments....

What the heck. It has been a while, so here is another one. This one is by Steve Filiciette from Australia. This picture comes from the Knifeart site.

nice find Keith. I am in Darwin a fair bit, where Steve still resides (I think)...several times I have thought of catching up with him while there, but have never had enough time. I can see one good reason in your above post why I should make time!

...100 times.

Still the best of the lot, IMHO... Don Fogg's stag handled bowie...
