  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Let's have some fun...Pick only 2

CRK and Spyderco.

My reply as well, CRK for obvious reasons and spyderco cause they're really the only big production company that continues to put out designs I not only like the look of but they're actually usable. KAI puts out some pretty crazy stuff in between the couple of designs I would actually use every year and while its fun to look at and talk about on here I'm not interested in owning/using about 90% of the it stuff. Spyderco on the other hand, about everything they make interests me, I'd say exact opposite of KAI, only about 10% of the stuff they put out do I not want.

Buck and kai

Lots of options for fixed blades with the bucks, and lots of useful folders with kai.

Cold Steel: Solid folders with tri ad locking mechanism and very good heat treated AUS-8 budget blades....There is just a lot of fixed blades and folders I like from CS, it's a versatile line of knives and they've been quickly becoming one of my favorite companies in the last couple of years. I've been noticing the negative CS trash talk fading away because they do have a good line of products.

Kershaw/ZT: Good variety of knives and blade shapes. I like the finger guard/flippers a lot.....weather you got 20 to 40 dollars for a budget Kershaw or over 200 dollars to spend on a ZT knife, there is just a lot of good choices they offer.

Ontario Knife Company and Buck Knives hold a tie for my third choice.

These days I'm mostly buying folders- so I could be happy with Benchmade and Spyderco.

Some day in the future I might need to buy fixed blades again so it would be better if I swapped one of these for a company such as Becker or Cold Steel.

Benchmade

and

Fox Knives

I think these two would satiate my desire for quality and diversification :D

Fiddleback Forge - variety of blade lengths and purposes, and they always look gorgeous.

Dozier knives - Nuffield said. Plus he has folders as well

For a little variety: Hogue and Grayman, fixed blade and folder needs satisfied. :D

Would really stink if either stopped production though

Emerson: extremely functional, made in the USA blades. Emerson is known for consistently putting out knives with great ergonomics.
Strider: Another great, made in the USA knife company. Although they dont make the sliciest of blades, i know that my SnG is capable of accomplishing any task. Strider also has the best warranty in the business.

Kai-Covers nice budget folders, well priced US made stuff, and nicer higher end US made stuff via ZT, plus access to Shun kitchen stuff.

Condor-Covers my big knife, chopper, machete, and axe needs, plus gives access to smaller "Bushcraft" knives, as well as neck knives and even a few throwers if I wanted to explore that territory.

Interesting that nobody has said Busse.

Spyderco
Busse (and kin, it counts!)

You beat me to Busse.

My two are,

Busse, because you only need a large, medium, and small.

Leatherman, because is it multi-functional and has pliers, which is the only reason it beats out Victorinox.

Condor Tool and Knife - They have everything except folders covered and I like the cost/quality ratio.

Opinel - I don't really enjoy folding knives much (I really don't know why) but I do use an Opinel when I can't carry a belt knife.

Have you seen the Victorinox swisstools?
