I agree on the chopping aspect but the ASHBM handles far more like a knife and in my opinion has more knife like characteristics than the NMFBM and in turn makes it more versatile for my use versus more of a dedicated chopper. Just my 2 cents. The ASHBM is THAT big knife for me.
Exactly. The difference in chopping ability is nominal and the ASHBM is far more nimble. It feels like a knife 2/3 it's weight. Especially the 1/300. The NMFBM might chop SLIGHTLY better for about a minute. Then fatigue starts to make its weight an issue and the ASHBM takes the lead.
According to Jerry, all these have a form of LB treatment that consists of holes drilled in the tang. That came as a surprise to those of us who recalled that Jerry had previously stated that holes in the tang caused increased impact vibrations to the users hand.
Thanks Guy... They do feel quite nimble for their thickness.
Nice job... She looks pretty sweet!
Thanks for the pics, I was really curious about how much was removed.
Are there 2 holes bored out between each of the tube fasteners... 4 total?
.
That's a baton!
