OK you guys that are on the fence, only a week to go. It's going to be a blast. It's beautiful up here and the weather is going to be great. Carpool or whatever you need to do. Hey, I even cleaned up the shop some.:D

Hi Koyote, The place is surrounded by trees and brush with gravel in front of the house. Don't know what kids do nowadays to keep entertained all day. I wouldn't think it would be safe around the forges and hammerin. You have to make the call. You know your kids better than I. Did you say 5 yrs.? They are welcome.
 
did u have them 2 day air? hope it gets here before Saturday. Ken move that truck lol thats my shady spot im after.
 
I have a question. I thought I had some pieces of O-1 steel on hand but now that I think about it, I may have used it all up already. There really isn't any time left for me to ship more steel. I'll probably have to purchase something locally. What do you recommend I do?
 
I'm debating. He's around the forge all the time anyway, and he actually plays with sticks and rocks and bugs and stuff. It's true!

If you're talking about bringing steel up the to hammer-in I wouldn't worry as we'll have plenty. I have 1084/5160 and lots of bandsaw steel. Pete's bringing some steel up also.
 
yeah im still bring a eazy up think its 10x10 or 12x12 eithr way with the forecast looking at the weekend we will be good only low 90's in the valley so probably only upper 80's up there

I'll be there! i haven been on the forums for a while, sorry to confirm so late. Christof, if its just you going you're more than welcome to ride with me. or we can throw your wee one in the bed of my truck ha ;) i'll be bringing my tools, and anvil. my forge is not mobile. i'll have some of my knives and steel as well, for critique and to share ideas :)
im very happy there is a HI going on close enough so i can attend!

yes sir i do. im very exited :) i'll be there around 8 if mapquests estimate of 1 hour driving time is correct.
