The simple things in life are always a pleasure to behold! The ingenuity and craftsmanship displayed in this thread has my admiration! Maybe one day I will buy another one see what I can do. I have a #8 stainless that I keep in my desk drawer at work for making my daily sandwich and fruit cutting.

willc, are you talking about the No. 8 Garden Folding Knife pattern?

I think they are the same blade shape, but the newer garden knife is inox and has the weird stubby handle.
What I got back then was carbon steel with the normal no.8 handle.
I'll try to find it and post a pic.

No. 8 Slim Inox in Bubinga that fell from my pocket onto the sofa and was gently gnawed by one of my dogs when he was a pup while I slept

MASON !!! ... shoot ... It's a keeper for sure now. So is Mason :)

That pruner looks like it'd make a good mushrooming knife. May have to pick one up to go with my No.8. (pics will come when I finish re-handling it....)
